I've started having wedding dreams.... Dreamt last night that I forgot to book to have my hair and make up done for the wedding so I was chasing this woman around the hotel trying to get her to do my hair and make up!!!!  I never bloody caught her either????? Has anyone else on here had any wedding dreams???

Im not having dreams yet!!!! :-( i want one!!!! lol x

Hi everyone

Im new to this site and just wondered if anyone had booked there wedding through thomas cook and how were they finding the communication between them and wc??

Im getting married on 28th july 2011 at riu palace las americas and so far when i ask how i can contact the wc they just tell me to phone thomas cooks wedding dept and they will re-direct any queries!! getting a bit worried now as not long til my big day and don't seem to be getting anywhere!

Emmy, welcome to the site, i'm sure you will find it really helpful and these girls will set your mind at ease. I didn't book with TC but a few of the girls on here did and they will be happy to help. Everyone is so friendly!! It is so frustrating not getting the answers you want i know, my WC at my hotel takes forever to get back to me and we leave in 8weeks!! Hope you get the answers you need )

Hi emmy, Welcome along, and congrats on your wedding :-)

I booked through Thomas Cook and flying with Thomsons.

Im also getting married at a RIU resort. I have just looked through my paper work and ALL the RIU use the same contact for their wedding co-ordinator here are the 2 provided

weddings04@riu.com (to be honest i never had much luck with this)

and gfernandezs@riu.com I had the best response from this.

 

Good luck, let us know how you get on... i found i had a response the first time within 24 hours.

Although i am going to email this weekend as we leave 5 weeks tomorrow and i havent heard from WC since i emailed themin July last year!!! :-)

emmy1... i booked with thomas cook as my fiances parents always use paul the manager, he sorts weddings etc. they do tell you to go through them an they direct things to WC.. but i got marias email of the hotels website an had already spoke with her b4 i booked my holiday. ive just made sure anything ive sorted with her ive give to paul to. so theresno mix up. to be honest you meet your WC on the day you get there, but there are some things you can book to make sure you get your time/date/reception party where you want cuz if you left it til you got there may not have it available.

OMG it was fantastic, I love my dress... and seeing it in white was even more amazing, as id only ever seem it in ivory.... I love it more than i thought, i have a few pics but they look awful, dont do me or the dress any justice,  I MIGHT post one later!!! :-)

 

My sister did my hair for me, so i know how im having it in Mexico and im having a slightly different hair style for my AHR which she did too :-)

 

I had the best day.... not seen sis since November and Mum since xmas so it was just a really really lovely day all round :-)

 

My dress, is just SOOOOOOO perfect, Im so happy, just need to get back to the shop as Nina the seamstress wasnt in yesterday so i will go in the week, the only 2 things that need doing are the cups sewn in so i dont have to wear a bra and it taken up slightly at the front!!!

 

CANT wait to get it home!!!!! :-) xxxx

Aww Nicy it sounds like you had a fab day! SO happy for you hun. Did you take pix of your hair? Can we see?

 

I've had another bad night. Scarlett screamed ALL bloody night with ear ache bless her so another trip to the emergency doc's and she's got antibiotics for ear infection!!! God i may as well move in that place!!! I've got doc's tues for my back and our jabs. Although Scarlett can't have her's now cos of the ear infection so we'll have to re book hers BOO!!! Can you believe my luch and illness?? I've never known anything like it! It's beyond a joke now!

 

On the plus side we picked up her flowergirl dress... not a good pic of her as she's not feeling 100% but here goes.....

Has anyone heard of the new Shellac nail gel varnish? I really want to have it done and only know one girl that does it and she is worried as i go in the shop she works in so would be like stealing clients... Its supposed to be really good, dont chip and lasts up to 4 weeks!! protects the nail and is high shine )

Never heard of the nail thing, sounds good though!!!

 

The hair trial i had were just rough ones so not done to perfection but you get the idea :-)

 

 

 

 

 

Had to put the kirby grips on the actual curl as my layers kept popping up!!!

 

 

 

Now i will have it like this for AHR only neater, but again you get the idea......

 

 

My sis said my hair was too soft and my layers kept coming loose (hence the hair poking up at the top) LOL x
