On another note, the 'Thomas Cook' suitable box I ordered worked beautifully!!!  When it was delivered, I had serious doubts as to whether my dress would fit (it's quite big... with a train and all)... but apparently the dress shop had no problem packing it.  On the way back, I packed my dress in my case and hand-carried the box filled with decorations, cards, etc.

Thanks everybody for all your help!

Michelle - Sorry to hear that you haven't been well, but it sounds like you're getting better now?

Lyndsey - Wow!  That is SO freaky... have you had that same anaesthetic before without a reaction?  Maybe they could try something else...

Amurka - I just had a look at your resort, Dreams La Romana, and it looks absolutely amazing!!!  And if your wedding support (coordinators, etc.) are anything like mine were, you are in very good hands!

they couldnt do my filling cos of the reaction and it lasted 2 hours! i wear contacts too so the eye that wouldnt close was getting really dry haha it seems funny now but at the time it was terrible! all i kept thinking was i cant get married with these eyes - i look liked quasimodo!

@Nicy - WOw sweetie, congrats!!! :))) your dress is finally here :Dx You must be buzzing with excitement, please let us know how your fitting goes and maybe post some pictures too! :))

Oh ladies btw remember I posted on here the other week all the craziness that was happening with my resort banning outside photographers and us trying to make sure we are on the "special list" so we can still have our outside photographer at our wedding??? Well now they posted on their facebook page and emailed few girls on the other forum that are getting married there, that it was "confusion" and that if couple wants to hire non-resort photographer they are more than welcome to do so; and in addition they even decided to remove a "day pass" payment for them too!!!! WTF???!!! So we went through that stress for nothing....:/ It all sounds weired to me, but hey as long as our guy is there to take our pictures it doesn't matter lol :D

Hope everyone's planing is going very well :))

xoxo

amurka - I feel a bit better now. Not 100% still but hopefully getting over it :o) I am now taking Berocca so hope that will give me a bit of a boost too. Poor Scarlett is still not well and now has a little coldsore, bless her :o(

OMG i can't believe they did that. They shouldn't be able to mess you around like that. Its not fair and adds stress. But on the plus side at least you are OK with your photographer :o)

Kiwi bride - hello! Good luck with your planning, this site is great isn't it. I love it!!

UK girls just to let you know. Tescos are doing half price sun cream. I picked up the kids Nivea cream today for £5 a bottle. They have it in Boots BOGOF at the mo but it's £15 a bottle!! They have others on offer too... worth having a look :o) x

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
