Michelle poor thing i am sooo sorry that you still have that horrible back ache...:((( maybe it is worth going to gp, at least maybe he will do some tests or smth to find out what is making you feel that way...

But at least you had good news about your flight yay :D It will be so nice to have all people attending wedding on one plane :D We have most of our guests with us too, so we will all start to celebrate as soon as we are on the plane lol ;D

Oh btw does Thomson allow wedding dress on the plane?...i also think their hand luggage size is a bit bigger too...but not sure

Take it easy with your back Michelle and try to enjoy your good news :)))

hey girls

had a funny old day today - went to the dentist for a filling. when they gave me the local anaesthetic after about a few minutes one of eyes went really wide and wouldnt close and the other wouldnt stop blinking. lol

they couldnt do my filling cos of the reaction and it lasted 2 hours! i wear contacts too so the eye that wouldnt close was getting really dry haha it seems funny now but at the time it was terrible! all i kept thinking was i cant get married with these eyes - i look liked quasimodo!

had my typhoid injection today too so all sorted now.

No theres not much difference in the luggage with the size or weight! I dont think any airline will let you carry on your dress. I think they have to go in a hand luggage size box or go in the hold. I have ordered a box for mine that is in the dimensions for Thomson! It arrives tomorrow :o)

OMG we've just had the BEST news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! our flights have changed!!! We are now on a Thompson flight! plane.gif i am SOOOOOO happy! Not only are they better planes (especially for me who hates flying) but we now will all be together!! One of my BM's and her family along with my friend were on that flight as they are doing 10nights so now we are all together.. I am literally bouncing off the walls pinkie.gif

I phoned Caribbean Warehouse to see if we could now have the extra hand luggage for bride and groom but they said no we only get that if we booked a Thompson package.. oh well it was worth a try! They said Cosmos made the decision to pull out of the Monarch deal and it cost them £15 million to do it but they thought it worth it due to customer satisfation! OMG i'm so happy! its made my day :o) xxxxx

Glad to hear your feeling a little better Michelle & that is great news about your flight!!!!  Really excited for you, we are on  a Thomson flight as well (24 hours after you!!!!...lol)  30 of us on same flight, they ain't gonna no whats hit them....hahahaha  I had Harrison's last injection on Friday & they gave him his preschool booster while we were there....Richard the pansy wouldn't come in the nurses room with us but said he heard him screaming from the waiting room!!!!  He was saying 'I hate this lady mummy'....how embarrassing!!  I was trying to say 'she is a nice lady Harrison who doesn't want us to be poorly sick in Mexico so injections will help us' but he was having none of it!!....bless

Lyndsey..OMG your eyes!!!! Like you say the thought of quasimodo sounds funny but I bet your were scared stiff while it was happening.....as my nan used to say 'glad the wind didn't change or you'd have stayed like that!!'....lol

Any of the girls with little ones, did anyone get the phenergan medicine for the flight?  I haven't yet but am gonna see if can pop to boots today & see what they say.

Hi All,

We got back last Tuesday.  Sorry for the delayed post, but am still settling into married life wink.gif  Needless to say, the wedding was AWESOME... everything I could've dreamt of and more!  woot.gif  If any of you have questions, feel free to ask, as I'd like to stay active on here and haven't even begun planning our AHR yet!  My hubby wanted to wait 'til after the wedding for that... I'll post my review at some point and let you guys know.

Michelle - Sorry to hear that you haven't been well, but it sounds like you're getting better now?

Lyndsey - Wow!  That is SO freaky... have you had that same anaesthetic before without a reaction?  Maybe they could try something else...

Amurka - I just had a look at your resort, Dreams La Romana, and it looks absolutely amazing!!!  And if your wedding support (coordinators, etc.) are anything like mine were, you are in very good hands!

On another note, the 'Thomas Cook' suitable box I ordered worked beautifully!!!  When it was delivered, I had serious doubts as to whether my dress would fit (it's quite big... with a train and all)... but apparently the dress shop had no problem packing it.  On the way back, I packed my dress in my case and hand-carried the box filled with decorations, cards, etc.

Thanks everybody for all your help!

Cheers,

Laurel cheers.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
