I will defo have some on for the wedding day cos mine were hurting yesterday. They go inside the shoe wherever its tight and stops the rubbing. I had a pair on for a wedding last year. Was razor sharp peeps and having sore spots on i wore them all day in comfort with no blisters at the end of the day/night. They are wonderful girls!! Go get some :o)

Oooo, will need to look in to this, not for wedding but for general... Thanks x

But I have decided for things not to get to me that much anymore!!! Me and my FI had it with trying to please everyone (i know it might sound harsh...) but its our day and no matter what happens and who will be there we will have a blast!!! :D..

Spoke to my SIL today she came over to visit with the kids cos its half term and told her about everything that was happening with my uncle and MIL, and she said the same,.. we should just forget about everyone else and think about ourselves for once!!! SIL's daughter 13 (i guess i can start calling her my niece now lol :D) even offered to make our wedding cake or wedding cupcakes for AHR, which was sooo sweet of her i thought i will cry - so we decided that we will do it together with her a day before our AHR.. :)

@Michelle, I am so happy that you have posted your tiara here, I have been looking at that website forever now lol, but wasn't sure should I order or not, - but now i will definitely do it, cos yours looks stunning! :)) About your son giving you away I thought I will cry as well, bless him (don't know what is wrong with me and crying today lol :D)

We wanted for my FI's daughter to come to Dominican as well so she could stand there with us while we say our vows and be a flower girl as well maybe :))...but her mum wouldnt let her cos she is only little...but i guess i would have done the same...atleast she can be there for our church wedding, yay!!!:))

Oh, I was thinking to get my mum to give me away after that fiasco with my uncle, but the only reason i am unsure is cos she will cry buckets i know her lol :D and if i see other ppl cry especially her that's it!!!... I will be in floods of tears by the time I get to the end of the aisle LOL :D...

@Lease - my FI just told me this weekend that he decided what he is wearing as well (THANK GOD!!!) ...he wants to wear a light grey jacket with a nice shirt (no tie) and long grey trousers..traditional but relax and I love the idea...I know he will look amazing!;D ....... ...

@Lyndsey - wau good luck at zumba hun :)...i wish i would be so consistent with my exercises...although did do some yesterday :D...but today I ache sooo much cant go up the stairs lol :D

I think your doing the right thing hun, tough as it is :-) You will only regret it other wise if you please everyone else... Stay dtrong sweetie x

I think you will be fine. Your wedding is later than mine. Between your photos, have a few cocktails and the time will be filled no problem.

What kind of entertainment does your hotel do. Imsure they must have some live music or a disco or something. After a few drinks you will also have no problem wearing your dress everywhere. You paid for it, you might as well enjoy it.

My plan is wedding a 3pm on beach.

Im going to go to a cocktail bar after which is shaded. The guests can get a few drinks and freshen up if they wish whilst photos are taken. Some photos all together.

Then 6.30pm meal which was included. I figure that will take a couple of hours.

Then a bar with live music and the disco starts at 11pm. I figure after a few drinks the night will be relaxed and fun.

I did consider private parties but after paying for an all inclusive i decided to make the most of it and use their facilities and take over the disco.

I suppose everything is what you make of it.

Not sure how many guests yet. Hoping for 15.

I'm also worried about setting the right atmosphere.  we only have 4 guests coming & I'm really struggling with making sure they have as great a time as we plan to.  Its hard though, our wedding's booked for 4pm & after trying to work out all the timings etc, I think it will all be over be 7.30 latest.  What do we do with them then?  I'm not too comfortable with going to a bar in wedding clothes but feel it might be rude to simply send them on their way for the evening.

Have you thought about music etc, we're having a 2 hour meal / reception but I'm not sure how to 'keep them entertained'.

How are the rest of your plans coming along?

Hi ladies

Just thought i'd let you know that the Church have confirmed our wedding date Saturday 30th June 2012.  whoo hoo i'm so excited the church is just beautiful i love it even more everytime we visit.

I've also booked my photographer and videographer and i've got a meeting with a highly recommended DJ on Saturday.

Bit of a dilema, we wanted the walls of the Golf Club covered in white drapes and a fairy light wall behind the head table, we've been getting some quotes and it is sooooo expensive anywhere from £1500 - £2000...the girls are saying that we can get some fabric and do it ourselves but i don't want it to look tacky, so not sure what we're going to do at the moment as it will eat into alot of our decorations budget, but on the other hand we're not spending alot on the centre pieces as one of my bridesmaids will make them and we're only going to have diamantes scattered on the tables.  I have already got my chair sash bows and table runners, so maybe it's doable but it's soooo much money to spend on covereing the walls but it really does transform the place....hmmmm what to do???

Quick catch up.

Michelle, everything you make is just so lovely, you are one creative chick i think you've missed your calling in life cheesy.gif.  I am so glad you still love your wedding dress, it really is beautiful and I love your side tiara. xxx

Nicy - I know it's been a while but sorry about the job being so far away, but on the plus at least the interview went well it is good practice.   Your AHR sounds like it is all coming together nicely.  I absolutely love those butterfly invites i'm going to look into them and i'll keep you posted.

Roo - I agree with the other girls I would sell your wedding dress yourself hun.

Kiwimel - Your dress is lovely and if it is the one for you then it doesn't matter if it is beachy or not, like Michelle I was going to wear a big dress no matter where I got married as it was the one for me. xx

Josie - Welcome back hun, wow everything sounds perfect.  I love that you and Buster made time for each other and spent the evening on the beach, that part brought a tear to my eye.  Congratulations girl xx

Gom4good - I would choose the colours that you like, it is your wedding day and it should be perfect for you.

Samclav1 - If i could give one piece of adivce it would be to do whatever makes you and your FI happy.  It is your wedding day nobody elses and they have no right to question you or make you feel guilty about choosing to go to Mexico.  When we were having our wedding in Mexico we had people complain about it and asking us why we chose there and telling us they wont be able to come, it caused alot of family arguments, but when we decided that it felt right for us to have the Wedding in the UK those same people then complained about us doing it here as they were looking forward to Mexico....you can't win, people will always find something to complain about hun, just do what is right for you and your FI.

Aww so glad you love the church. I bet it is amazing. Although i dont go to church myself the ones i have been in are so beautiful...

Oooo i think the drapes and lights sound fab!!! It will make it all fairytale like.. I love the idea and think if you can do it you should. You have time on your hands so maybe look into how much it would cost to do yourself and have a practice or get more quotes, you never know. It will all work out fine in the end :o)

I for one can't wait to see the pix :o)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
