i have my dress & bridesmaids ordered..im not sure im doing favours really still undecided may just buy gifts for parents/bridesmaid etc..may do the shot glass idea for everyone, im trying to keep it simple an stress free an try stick to a budget as thats why we chose a DW so who knows.

 

with regards to my hair im undecided i may have a trial at the spa to see how it comes out, if nt ill just do my own have it with looses curls. x

yes it is thanks very much i think so!! thats a designer one, i got the same dress but its not got a desinger name for £300 cheaper. so bargain.x

Michelle we didn´t bother taking our birth certificates with us, cos we were told most definitely we didn´t need them, but then again they don´t weigh anything so maybe slip them in if it gives you peace of mind. nothing needed apostiling, translating etc.

about a month before the wedding the wc sent us a form to fill out by email with details of our parents, and witnesses (and us too!), then when we had the meeting once we were in mexico, we took our two passports and travel cards, and those of our witnesses with us and she toddled off and photocopied them and that was it!

Has anyone heard much about the hairdresser/make up artist at the Palace Mexico? As you can see I have very curly/frizzy hair and I am dreading having my hair done for the day - can't even find anyone who can do it nicely in the UK! LOL I will definitely be looking like Monica!

 

What is Phenergan? I have a 2 yr old traveling with us and I know she will be ok for about the first 20 mins - not sure about the other 10 hrs! LOL

 

 Phenergan is available over the counter and it´s normally used for travel sickness or as an antihistamine, but the marvellous benefit of it is that it makes you fall asleep ( no operating heavy machinery now!) I felt a bit guilty about the thought of using it at first, but i've got two nurse friends with kids and they told me it is exactly what they use. Just make sure you test them with it first to check it doesn´t have the opposite effect, and work with the dosage!

what do we do with the wedding certificate as it will be in spanish? do we get that translated into english over there or when we arrive back?

that is a very good question! and i wish i knew the answer.... we didn´t even look into it cos we live in spain so assumed it would be fine as it is, but now we´re moving back to the sunny UK we will have to look at it. I'm friends with a girl on facebook who got married at my resort, so i'll fb her and see what she did!

Riu Palace Mexico was where we had the ceremony and photos, but we were actually staying at the cheapy Tequila over the road! It was raining that day so they moved us across the road to the Palace, I was well chuffed cos i got a posh wedding at a cheap price!
