Hi Lea :)

We are getting married in Dominican Republic, but decided to do symbolic ceremony there :D...well long story short, we have been very against such a things with my H2B at first...but when we looked at reality of things (£ lol) :D it seemed like we could use this extra over £1000 for our second honey moon later on in a year!!! :)))

We are going to get legally married in UK about two weeks before we go - everything very secret secret!!! :)) with our two friends being witnesses cos they cant make it to DR and then still count our REAL wedding day the one we will have 6th of March in DR!!! :)) and after we will be back about May-June we are thinking to have church blessing, cos our families are quite religious and thought it will be nice for everyone to attend who couldn't make it to DR :)) ...so hopefully it will all work out just well :D

Michelle, GOD you are one creative lady!!!! I tell you, as i am least creative person ever, I look at things you do and just hope that maybe somewhere along this journey of wedding planning I will get some of what you have too LOL :D

Btw your pink shoes look beautiful, I have quite few Ted Baker shoes actually and they are all crazy comfy, so you should go with them at least you will be able to relax and enjoy yourself on your big day,...not to have worry about soar feet :(((..

xoxo

I feel the same as Nicy but i totally get why ppl do it. We thought about having a blessing back in the UK so my dad could walk me down the aisle but i think its to much now this yr. Maybe for our 1st wedding anniversary.... ark at me we're not even married yet and i'm arranging something else ha ha....

Lol i do love a bit of DIY... when i'm in the mood that is..

Girls i was thinking while i'm in wedding mode... i've got fans for the ladys for the ceremony but i said to FI, you better make sure you have a hanky in your pocket to wipe the sweat as wont look to nice in pix.. hee hee. so was thinking about getting the men hankercheif's with their names on to go on chairs along side the fans....?? What do you think? Good idea or bad? Is it a bit grandad? ha ha will they appreciate having something to wipe their sweaty brow with?

haven't been on here for a couple of days & i had a few pages to catch up on!

michelle both your shoes are gorgeous but i especially love the bridal ones! wish i could wear high shoes like that!!!

got a phone call today to say my dress is in woohooooo i am going for my fitting next saturday :)

also i got weighed for the first time in 3 weeks and i've lost another 4 pound so thats 9.5 in total so I'm really pleased. This is the lowest I have ever weighed (since i was a child!!)

can i just ask are any of you getting vaccinations for mexico?

and are you all just taking your birth certificates as documentation? i've been told thats all i need but it doesnt seem much! x

Omg how exciting!!! My fitting is 21st and i cant wait. I cant wait to see it all together. Shoes, jewellery, tiara etc...

Well done on the weight loss :o)

We are having jabs - they are booked in for 8th March, not sure which ones we need as nurse has only put the date our appointment is on the letter.

At our hotel we only need passports and visa cards. We dont need our birth certs, i've checked this with our TA aswell and she said we dont either. At our hotel you only need to take them and have them legalised if you have been married before.....

So just passports and tourist cards for us :o)

Wau Michelle that's all you need to get married in Mexico?????!!!!.....to be honest we have been considering Mexico at first and if i would have known that all you need is this we would have probably chosen it too!!!

In Dominican republic you need your original birth certificate , together with document confirming that you are still single and decree nici if you have been divorced - all of which has to be translated and legalized by DR consulate...:/

...that's why we decided to make it symbolic ceremony there, cos we know better places to spend such amount of money on lol :D and i am sure it will still be special for us ;)))

Lyndsey yay your dress is in congrats and if you will be able to get some pictures so we all can see :))) and congrats on weight loss too!!!! ...i need to get my ass back to the gym too...havent been working out since got that horrible flu, so almost 3 weeks now lol :D

 xoxo

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
