Lucky enough my dress came in a box which fulfils their requirement and it doesnt crease - this is my hand luggage - now FI had to look after passports and tickets etc that I usually have to look after!!!

Well ladies just to update you on my wedding progress.  Now we're staying here i'm able to look at different style wedding dresses so I went out with 2 of my bridesmaids on Saturday to the shop where I saw a dress that I tried on previously and loved (Michelle by Maggie Sottero), i wanted to see if i still loved it and i do but then I found another one completely different style that i also love cry.gif  (a Mori Lee) I'm booked into 3 more wedding shops over the next couple of months so i might see another dress that I love even more hahahaha, i could try on dresses every day.

We've changed our colour scheme to Purple and White, we will be having different shades of purple, the flower girls will be in lilac and the bridesmaids in a more darker vibrant purple.  I've seen the flower girl dresses (£25 on ebay including delivery) and i've ordered one just to see what the quality and fabric is like.  I'll post a picture.

One of my bridesmaids is the manager at Dulwich Golf Club and she has said i can have the hire of the venue for free for my sit down meal and reception, which is a big cost i don't have to pay out for. I've just got to pay for the catering so I met with the chef yesterday and told him what we wanted and he's going to give me a quote, this will be our biggest expense so i'm keen to see what figure he comes up with.  When I was there they had it set up for an evening party and that helped me visualise how it could look for the wedding and got me all excited.

Me and FI have got an appointment to go and see the vicar of a Church near us on 23rd, it is a Church of England and has beautiful gardens for the photographs (if it's not raining), we are going to have to start attending service every Sunday so no more late Saturday's for me, but it will be worth it.

oooooh I nearly forgot we've chosen our wedding date  Saturday 30th June 2012 cheer2.gif

Roo - Sorry to hear you have been down....I know I will have the wedding blues for sure, I have already been saying to my friends I don't want the day to be over & we are still 4 months away.  I have just enjoyed planning & getting all excited so much I don't want it to end!!

Char - So happy that your plans are coming together & how lovely is that of your friend to let you have the venue for free.  Can I ask what ebay shop you got your flower girl dresses from?   They are lovely!!

Nicy - Edinburgh woop woop!!!! I need to still think about what I am going to do.  God I wrote another list last night, I swear everytime I do it it just gets longer everytime!!

Michelle I am with you on the boob job, I am just pathetic!!  Maybe we could do a buy one get one free what dya think?  lol ....I did my workout dvd 3 times last week & couldn't walk down the stairs the next day, legs were bloody killing me.....but hey no pain no gain!!!! :)

Well I have ordered our cake topper today, if any of you want something a little bit different there is an ebay shop called laceyling that do some fantastic ones.  Richard loves Superman so we are having Superman carrying Lois Lane it is really cute & just something a bit different than the usual.  They do so many different ones!!  There is even Shrek & Fiona which I am considering if I don't shift some weight!!  lol

Hey lovely... always so much going on, on here :-) Love the idea of your cake topper, gana go look at the site now :-) And yes i kno what you mean with the list.... dito... should be getting smaller, but no such luck!!!!! x

Hi Everyone,

I've not really done anything about my wedding for a few months but now really back into it. Took me ages to catch up with these threads,. Anyway i wanted to ask you all what have you bought your bridesmaids? i'm really stuck. I'm so annoyed, i originally bought her a Pandora charm bracelet with a suitcase charm on, but then her boyfriend for xmas has bought her a different charm bracelet so now i'm looking for other ideas. I've seen some quite nice Vera Wang toasting flutes but don't know ifi love them. What'e everyone else got? x

Well ladies the time has arrived for me to depart these shores and head Mexico way to be made an honest woman.  Who would have thought this time would ever arrive!

Thank you all for listening to my moans, being supportive and giving me some great ideas - its been great fun and I feel like I have really got to know some of you - its been like planning a wedding with friends - you really have been part of the process.

After weighing my suitcase with FIs fishing scales 100 times I think we are bang on the weight limit!!  Dress is packed, hair and eyebrows done, manicure and pedicure tomorrow before I head to the hotel ready for departure at 9.15 from Gatwick.

If I had one word of advice to give you before you leave - 'dont do what I did and leave all your planning to the last min' - I booked 12 months ago and planned everything in the last 3 weeks - am officially knackered and off to hit the sack!

Speak soon xx

PS - I wonder how many wedding nightmares/dreams I will have tonight - signing off for the last time as a 'missy moo'!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
