I have spoke to the WC in resort and she has told me that we only have to be in Mexico for 2 full business days before we can get married, is this right? what info does everyone else have on this? I thought we would have to be there between 3 and 5 days due to blood tests etc I am hoping this is correct as i really want to be married in the first week and chill the 2nd :-)

Yeah, when we were looking in May 209 for May 2011, we were told the prices would be out in Oct/Nov 2009. They actually came out in May 2010.... We booked on 5th May, a year away from our wedding date of 6th May 2011.... SO FRUSTRATING as we could only give a slight indication of prices to guests... going off May 2010 prices, luckily they didnt change by much if i remember but frustrating all the same :-) x

We had future in laws out for a week last week and OH changed up their ££´s into €, the english money is going straight into my account for wedding stuff.... should be there later today for a spot more shopping!

I´m off to the post office to sort out the bank transfer for the importation tax on my invitations, hopefully it´s not more than the actual invites themselves, that is one expensive lesson learned, will not be ordering anything from the states again in a hurry!

my replacement t-shirt arrived from vistaprint yesterday, fits properly, all free.... good customer service or what!

It is a much cooler 33º today, although to be fair it´s still only 9.30am....

Have a nice day ladies!

Arrr, that is great customer service :-) To me that goes a long long way x

STOP STOP STOP rubbing it in about the blasted weather in spain!!! LOL cheesy.gif

Just had a thought on the Wedding Dress Box......what if something spills on it?  I know thats drastic but as its cardboard....imagine a macdonalds coke at the airport dropped on the box??!!  I might get one & see how robust they are for £18 its worth a look?

Oooh & one more thing on the underwear front.....my bridal shop has said that they can sew in a bra type thing to the dress which enhances the boobs for £25 so you don't need to worry about straps....might do that & then buy some other wedding underwear for wedding night....nudge nudge wink wink!! ;)

WOW, you are lucky, its great that people can help out like that :-) What lovely Parents you have x

Im definatly getting a wedding dress box, i will just keep it away from the drinks in the airport!! (I Hope) :-) x

Im thinking of getting wedding night undies too, but so so many people say its a waste of time... might get em anyway and if we dont "celebrate" on our wedding night im sure we will the night after.... Sorry if TMI!!!!!

;-p

I like the dress Michelle... Its like a little princess dress.... Not sure i would have something like that for Amélie though (if we have her as flowergirl, depends on what knid of 18 month old she is, if her mum wil let her) as its too "big" for me but yes... very very pretty all the same :-) xox

Herbie - I'm just exercising everyday. Cutting down on my saturated fat and carbs. I'm not doing any sort of diet ie weight watchers or slimming world. I have done those before and they are ok but i get bored. So i thought i would just try and cut down on stuff without cutting it out totally. It's more exercise with me really though. I eat pretty healthy. But i do love food and my wine so i'll never be a size zero, lol..

Thanx for "well dones on the weight loss"... i just hope i can keep it up ha ha

Girls yes they do ship to the UK but it's around $35 but seeing as i came unstuck with the bags i got i'm not taking chances on paying £60 in shipping and vat again. It's only $10 to ship to US so i'd be better getting it sent to my sisters friends for her to pick up in Feb. That's if i go with one of those. I did see a lovely flower girl dress in Oriental Pearl for her so will try that one before i decide. I was just googling toddler occasion wear (we have a wedding in Oct and need a dress for Scarlett) and the site popped up :o)

Nicy 2 for 89p on the lip balm is a bargain!! I can't find any cheap pots of lipbalm. But i will try next.

I saw them in 'Next' on the counter, they come in a little glass pot, the coconut smell always reminds me of holidays. Where is B&M Bargins?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
