1 Enya = Watermark instrumental my dads irish and i wanted something typically irish even though hes not gunna be there

2 Buddy Hollies = True Love Ways one of Pauls favourites

3 Frank Sinatra= Come Fly With Me. Ryans girlfriend and my dad love Frank

4Lady In My Life = Michael Jackson I wanted a MJ song i heard the words and the tears fell.I love MJ XX

5 Disneys = A Whole New World.  Pauls girls picked this and they will make there entrance to it im sure Chloe will sing lol

6 Shania Twains = From this Moment On.Pauls choice, i love the start for me to walk to

7 Disneys = Under The Sea instumental will play throughout the sand ceremony.

7 Toy Storys = You Got A Friend In Me  for us to walk out to

What do you think to much cheese?

our ceremony is quite long i  borrowed it from on here were doing the sand and hand ceremony plus i found some wonderful  quotes about how children describe being in love and we are using them aswell. The wedding planner suggested we use our children to read them and other guests to take part ive kept this to myself ready to surprize them if we decide to take her up on it.

If my computer hadnt crashed i would post it but its gone, the only copy is with the wedding planner in Greece i hope

Its really hard to create a ceremony that will last a decent amount of time but keep everyone tuned in and at the same time be true to Paul and i.The thought of all the time and effort we have put in and the cost to our guests i felt responsible for putting on a ceremony that lasted more than  a wink of an eye.Id hate anyone to say" huh is that it "

Do i need to change any songs honesty is always the best policy girls x

Nicy - Just a note with Vistaprint - they will only keep your items stored for about 4-5 weeks and then they will leave your portfolio; dont lose any!

With the help of the sales lady im forgetting the birdcage veil and fascinators the lady said the dress is so different as its all lace i dont need to add anything ive got the crystals sewn under the bust so a simple hairband will be perfect.

I just need to find somewhere to hang it.They recommend a duvet cover and she said i can roll it into a suit case and it will be fine.I just need to keep the top flat cos of the bones.

Just a side note i heard the sales lady say to another bride its £105.00 to have the dress cleaned and boxed. They launder the dresses in other words they machine wash them.So theres no reason we couldnt with the help of someone with a high washing line do it ourselves.

Then just buy the box.Worth a thought

Whilst waiting the hour i went to good ole Primark and bought two ribbed vest tops and have just applied bride and bridesmaid and flowergirl to each of them.It was easy but just needed to hold the iron on longer than it said.I did place another piece of cotton a pair of knickers lol over the top just because i was worried id get a scorce mark on the tops.

Hobbycraft have a lot more wedding things in now but on a downer they have crimbo things in there aswell.

Abbie thanks for popping in where would us brits be without all of you American and Canadian brides. Our guests will think we are super talented lol when infact we have borrowed so much info from you all.

Janapana i loved my mac makeover and i was braver than i would normally be with my colours i love the false lashes. Why dont you get a spanish makeup counter makeover just for the fun of it

Im now on the search for a few bits for the photobooth table i got some pink glasses from Primark off to search for fake moustches.

Yayy a good day today xx hope everyone is feeling as up beat as me xxxx

You still get teary with the dress that can only be a good thing :-) Cant believe you fly off so soon!!! ARGH!! Its just so exciting!!

Primark is fab, will be doing exactly the same as you nearer to my wedding :-)

Yes, i will do the wash myself thing i think... and buy a box.... well thats what i intend to do, im not sure if i will back out nearer the time though as i might get scared to DIY just incase... :-)

I ordered my bag last night, not for during the ceremony but i will give it to my mum to keep hold or in the room til afterwards, as during reception i want my make up to havd and a few bits and pieces. I am so trigger happy with a camera that i will be carrying my own, FI and parents think im mad, but i love taking pix and the more the merrier of my wedding :-)

Anyway its a turquoise (as close to aqua as poss) bag so it'll go with my colour theme.

not sure about the tattoo on my foot, does not look terribly classy, but what can you do?! At least the others are hidden! Also, my feet are not really on backwards, i was trying to show the shoes from both angles!

i am sooo loving those shoes x

i have been thinking the same thing about taking pictures, I will be giving each guest a disposal camera so that they can take pictures during the reception and then give them to us at the end of the night...the more pictures of our special day the better. xx

We skyped MIL on Sunday to confirm that the wedding will be in Mexico.  As you ladies know she wasn't too pleased when we were considering Mexico, so FI told her that he knows she may be upset but we have decided to go to Mexico and if she can't come then he understands.  I swear the woman has got a screw loose because her reply was 'why sweetie why would you think i'd be upset and wouldn't come, Mexico sounds like a wonderful idea, i've always wanted to visit there'...WTF, this is the same woman that asked me 'Don't you want me to come to your wedding?' when i told her we were considering having it in Mexico because it is soooo difficult for her to get from St Lucia to Mexico (even though she visits England 4-5 times a year).

She then asked when it will be and i told her July 2012 and she said well why so long and i said because we are paying for it ourselves and we need to save the money, then she says 'well surely you have some savings that you can use 2012 is so far away'...i swear this woman just rubs me up the wrong way.  I decided it was best for me to leave the conversing to FI after that...I am obviously happy for FI that she is coming but I am so bloody glad she lives in St Lucia and I do not have to deal with her on a daily basis.

How strange... her saying that after putting you and FI through a bit of torment :-( As strange as it is at least she is ok about it!!! Like you say at least she lives in St. Lucia so you dont really have to put up with the nonsence!!!

Such a turn around though!! Shame she didnt say she'd give you the money to bring it forward!! LOL :-) I shouldnt joke, i couldnt imagine what its like to have a MIL like that....

WHOO at least its out the way and she knows now so you can start to prob more openly plan MEXICO 2012 :-) xox

my thoughts exactly...at least she knows now and heard from us and nobody else...like i say i'm happy for FI.  Just looking forward to planning the wedding now...i think i would have said no if she offered to pay because she would have tried to control the whole thing.

are any of you ladies buying pressies for your bridesmaids etc. and if so what.  i was thinking of just doing a spa day for my bridesdmaids, mum and i suppose MIL, but now i'm not sure if that is enough and i should maybe get pressies.

Im not having any bridesmaids :-(
But i think i would get them maybe a little something, maybe some jewellery, I also think a lovely spa treat would be nice, i definatly would concider this 2... depending on budget!

Im looking at getting my mum and dad something but still undecided on what to get. I was thinking a nice engraved picture frame or something as a keepsake....

Its so hard to decide!!!!!

Vicki

As we are getting married at the same resort and you are 7 months before me, I just wondered how your plans were coming along.  I know I sent you over some bits that I had received from the WC in the hotel but I am not able to do anything yet for at least another year so I thought i'd pick your brains. x

1. Have you booked your wedding already?

2. Are you booking everything through a travel agent or booking the wedding seperately with the hotel?

3. Are you going for a specific wedding package or getting the basic and adding the bits you want...i don't know which one is the cheaper option?

xx

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
