Ive just got into bed but wanted to share my good news.

I have been concerned about the lack of money we have to take with us to Greece. We have hired the villa all paid for phew!!!!!!!!! But spending money has been worrying the life out of me.Like most of the people you speak to things are very tough right now.

Anyway i get into bed last night late as im a restuarant manager and i say to Paul " we really need to find some money from somewhere" he looks at me and grins so im like all excited cos hes grinning and i ask "have you got a stash" he replies no and im all deflated. He asks how much do we need and i pluck 3k we have to pay for the wedding meal for 20 blah blah.3k seems alot but we have a big family.

Anyway he falls asleep i sit on here until ive wound down enough and then fall asleep.

Lunch time he comes in from work grinning and says that car im selling on ebay is mine hed told me a porky by saying hed listed it for someone else and ive sold it for £450 hes also sold a lathe for £250 so over night weve got £700 in the pot.

He has another little fiesta that he bought for his son as his birthday present this november coming he changed his mind cos its a little old well loved almost classic car that deserves a little care which a 17 year old wont give it that fingers crossed will make £1100 and with my tips which are like £60 a week x eight we are nearly there.

Yes im sure we will worry a little more but its a huge relief to finally have some money in the pot.

When i left my job in March one of the girls i worked with bought me a budda id gone into her home was admiring all her lovely things walked past her budda and rubbed his belly. She kindly bought me one exactly the same and in the card that was with it she said rub his belly and he will bring you money,

No word of a lie i left work on the friday and i rubbed his belly lots.Pauls six year old on the sunday went out to the playhouse and bought in the electric till she had had not this christmas the christmas before.Whilst playing shops with her grandad sat in our living room she handed eddie a 50 euro note as part of his change.

My mum lives in ireland so when she sends me money its always euros. That note had been out in the till for 15 months and two days after i was given him he showed me the money lol

Yesterday with the drama of going to the drs a day early and my dress fitting early i spent the day chasing my tail.I remember sitting watching sky news half watching half planning and half worring about money when i looked at th budda and thought i ought to rub your belly i didnt get up and then forgot before running out the door for work However id like to think that hes seeing us alright.Tomorrow ,well today now its 1.30 am

IM going to rub his belly before even putting the kettle on lol

Well I'm 'hunting' but have to accept my wages are not going to be as high - I've got over that hurdle but recruitment agencies have nothing or say they do and you go and meet with them and they say 'oh we have nothing at the moment' - so ruled them out. A few thanks but no thanks - which is a bit soul destroying but its only been 10 days and I have others I am waiting to hear on. Something will come up but would love a crystal ball to find out when!! Serious job hunting tomorrow and then Friday I've decided its wedding day and I'm gonna spend time finishing invitations etc, making lists etc - so cheer me up. This is a wedding on shoestring now and I'm determined its gonna look good though not like some of the budget ones on 4 Weddings - lol.
Thanks for asking xx

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
