Ooo how exciting - where you having your hen weekend?

Have you tried monsoon for the little girls shoes? We have a lovely shop near us that sell gorgeous shoes in Blackfen called Harris. I will probably get Scarlett some sandels. I'm not getting her dress till after Xmas as she will prob grow loads!

We have another delay in booking. Thomas Cook said that the day they fly is still under discussion with Cosmos ( i dont get why they are taking bookings on the 24th if they still dont know... DDEERR!!) . It could be 22nd, 24th or 25th May now but we are not booking till it's confirmed as it will affect our wedding date! What a bummer. Another WAIT for us i'm sick of waiting! They also said that although flights are not showing on their site for 24th it may be that Cosmos have chartered the plane for that day and it's not on sale for TCook! It is ONE complete joke. NOBODY can give me a definate answer so we can't book yet! BOOOOO :o(

i'm going to Ibiza for my hen weekend! it's my 2nd of 5!! i've been to leeds recently, Ibiza this time! sooooooooo excited!

Michelle - do you have to fly with TC - as Thomson are flying on most of the other dates?

Oh Ibiza - havent been there for a few years - lol - you will have a fab time! I havent organised mine yet but have a few days off next week so may trawl the net for some ideas. I have a friends coming up in August - a murder mystery weekend!!! Not my kind of thing but hey once the drink is flowing i will probably think its fantastic! LOL.

I wished i didn't have to. They dont know what they are doing. The problem we have is..... Cosmos do our hotel and it's cheaper to get a package than book separate. We are actually booking through Caribbean Warehouse as they are the best prices but it is the Cosmos package. Cosmos use Thomas Cook airlines. So we are stuck with that. CW priced up the hotel with Tompson flights and it was over 6k. So alot dearer than doing the package. I find it unbelieveable that Cosmos or TCook cannot confirm flights but are already selling them to clients. It's so wrong. We can't book till we know for sure cos of the wedding! CW are Atol protected and i am glad about that. I'm not taking the risk of booking it all separate and taking the risk (we have to think of our guests too) x

Ooo wish i was going Ibiza. Love it there x

The way it seems to work is they request a date for you and then its down to the Mexican authourities to confirm it and then the hotel - it just seems a bit of a waiting game. My date doesnt get confirmed until August. Come Aug1st i will be straight on the phone - lol!! But this does seem to be norm across the board having spoken to other UK brides as most of the Americans and Canadians dont go for the whole legal thing for this reason. Hope you get yours confirmed soon tho. xx
That still doesnt make sense - I booked the wedding direct with the hotel and it was confirmed very quickly!! Dont see why it'd take longer with a travel agent confirming than an individual!

Michelle - Have CW been more forthcoming with the WC conversation now?x

They haven't really said much about it to be honest. The girl i'm dealing with Louise (lovely girl) is just trying to concentrate on getting us the best deal for the lowest price and sort out the day we fly. She said she will check the wedding when we've sorted the rest. It sounds as though they make inital contact and then pass on details and i will deal direct. I have already made contact with the Barcelo so it should fingers x'd be straight forward. But come on girls this is me talking, there is bound to be some drama around it, lol... nothing runs smoothly for me ;o)

I just want it booked. I'm getting to spoilt brat stage where i'm stamping my feet and jumping up and down...."I want it booked". hee hee....(i've been waiting since last august and still not booked :o(...)

I did read so many bad reviews of booking weddings through TAs - but went with it anyway - i dont regret doing it but i dont think things are confirmed / organised as they lead you to believe when you first book x
OH GOD!!!! 6 Months!!! :-( Thats so crap!!! We have people who are looking at booking for a week around our wedding date!!! They will have to wait to book 2!!! TUT :-(
I cant wait to get confirmed so i can deal with the hotel and WC themselves :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
