I think that sounds reasonable. We are using YourCancunDMC.com and they are charging:

Round trip: $100.00 US (1 - 3 people)
Round trip: $110.00 US (4 - 8 people)

They set up a personalized website for our guests to input their arrival info which I thought was pretty cool. We are expecting a lot of ppl though so this is prob not necessary for smaller parties.

  • 2 weeks later...

You're not alone! I feel the same way. All of the major vendors and details are all done but the little tasks are the most daunting! There are so many of them. I've been trying to accomplish one or two of the smaller things each week so that I don't drive myself crazy. I thought having a DW would so easy and relaxing and some times I feel like it's more work than a local wedding! In the end though it will all be worth it :)

I can't believe it's less than 100 days!! Time is going to fly by now.

I finally sent out my invitations last week :) What a relief. So much work.

We also did our registry and figured out the GM attire.

All the big things are done.

But it's true, there are just SOOOO many little details, it's hard to keep your head around them all. But at least it's things that if it doesn't happen, it won't make or break the wedding.

I have my first dress fitting today! I am pretty excited to get an idea of what's going to happen to it. It's a corset so losing or gaining 5 pounds probably won't do anything with alterations. I'm just confused because you're supposed to wear the shoes you're going to wear for the wedding. And I'm going barefoot for the ceremony and I'll bring heels for the reception, but I feel like I'll just wear flip flops since who's gonna see my feet? And my FH is only a few inches taller than me, so heels will make us the same height.

What are girls thinking of doing? Heels or flip flops?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
