Are you arriving ahead of your guests?

Recommended Posts

Our wedding is on a Friday. We are arriving the Friday before and staying untill the Friday after. People can come down here and there as they please. We don't really mind hanging out with our family, but a few days alone here and there will be nice.

We're arriving a day before our guests. It was only because we had planning a Wed - Wed trip with our guests but found out that we had to be there 48 hours before our wedding so me and my FI had to be there a day earlier than we expected.

We are traveling on the same flight to Montego Bay with 4 of our 8 guests. The other 4 guests will be arriving within 30 minutes of us. If we had more time for the trip, I would have liked to arrive a day or 2 before everyone but it just didn't work out that way.

We're all arriving on Friday, the wedding is on Sunday and half the guests are leaving Monday and the other half on Wednesday. We're staying until Saturday but transferring to another resort the day after the ceremony.

We will be travelling with our guests mostly on the same flight, I think it will make the flight less long. We will arrive 4 days before our wedding, due to flight pricing, but we will be extending our trip for a couple more days after guests have gone =)

I think this is what I am going to do too. It just doesn't work out for us to go early even though I would love too.

Me too. My fiance and I are arriving 4 days ahead of the guests, probably on a Saturday. Mostly everyone arrives on Wed, and we'll get married on the Saturday. Then everyone leaves the following Wed, and we'll come home on the following Sunday. A few days before and after the big event.

We are arriving the same time as all our guests seeing as we are all on the same plane!! Our guests are immediate family and a few friends (a total of about 15) and we are all together. It would be nice to arrive a few days early, however, i think it will be nice to be able to have family and friends on the way down.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
