      Sorry, I didn't realize you were from Canada. So you WILL need a passport to get to PR. It is pretty inexpensive to get there from the states, but the cost of things once there are definitely pricier than say Mexico (still less than home). We also did not explore the northeastern region/San Juan which is also supposed to be nice. Possibly more accessible for guests from the aiport.

      The Dominican Republic would be another good location. We always meet tons of Canadians when we visit down there so it might be pretty easy to get to for you. It is pretty inexpensive in the DR.

            Congrats on the engagement! I agree with several of the other posters. An experienced wedding travel agent will be a god send.
