Great question, lastminutebride - Thx for asking :)

To help wedding couples with their timing, we've compiled an FAQ page here with sunset times: MTM Mexican Weather Info

with info like this:

FAQ: What time should I have my ceremony in order to allow enough time for pictures before the sunsets?

The most ideal time is to have your ceremony is 2hrs before the sun sets. Here in the Mayan Riviera, once the sun starts to set it happens very quickly! Less than 20 minutes, so we need to work fast during this time.

If your ceremony time does not leave enough time for photos, you do have a few options. 1. Change the time of the ceremony, 2. Do the newlywed photos before the ceremony, or 3. We will use as much light as we can for the newlywed photos, then move into the lobby or other lighted areas for the rest of your couples images. This is not set in stone… just our suggestion to you.

For your specific question re early June, here is a link to the time chart: June Sunsets   with the info copied here:

5 pm would give you more time, so probably less pressure or feeling rushed.....just a suggestion - the final decision is yours, as we could work with either one. Which ever one you choose, it'll be great - and you'll have Amazing photos, with our incomparably magnificent Mayan Riviera for your backdrop - Priceless!!!

What reception venue did you pick if you are having the catholic ceremony? I am struggling with this. We are already booked for the Catholic ceremony.

We are having the Catholic Ceremony and my TA said the Venado terrace and Garden they said was closest if looking for an outdoor venue.

I just booked for December '14 for the Catholic Ceremony and would like to know that too!

Have you been in touch with the priest yet? He seems very nice. He is sending me information about the ceremony and what readings we can pick from etc.

Does anybody know if the immaculate package includes flowers for the chapel or do you have to request them at an extra price??

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
