WOW your pics look so beautiful!!! I just got engaged at The Royal in Cancun 3 weeks ago and we are planning on having our wedding there in June 2011. We want to have our catholic ceremony at the Chapel too, with the reception on the beach. I have one question for you. Does the chapel already come with the flowers included, or is that an extra fee for each of the flowers that you have on each isle? I am trying to figure out exactly how i want everything to look and it would help alot! Beautiful, beautilful pictures! :-)

I booked all transportation through them so I got a discounted rate - I booked the following transportation:
  • 53 passenger bus from Gran Melia to Gran Caribe for ceremony
  • bus from the ceremony to Le Meridien for the reception
  • bus from the reception back to Gran Melia
  • limo for Groom & GM's to the Ceremony
  • limo for Bride and BM's to the ceremony
  • limo for Bride & Groom from ceremony to reception

CONGRATS!!! Everything looks great!! And wow those prices you got are AMAZING!
Can you please tell me what kind of limos you guys got and who your contact was at cancun transfers? I will definitely be reaching out to them now!
I can't wait to see pics! Do you have any of the buses/limos?
The total cost of everything was $950. This was by far the cheapest rate I got and I asked for quotes from about 8 different transportation companies. Their service was great too and limos & buses were clean and on time.

Thanks for the compliments everyone:) I'm glad my review is helpful to brides getting married there.

Bride2B22 - I think the two arrangements at the alter (on the table in front of the priest) are included and free of charge, but just double check with your coordinator to make sure. Every other flower I had to pay for. They give you about 3 or 4 different packages to choose from. I did negotiate with them to bring the price down so don't go with the first cost they give you. I asked them to substitute some of the flowers for cheaper versions that were still pretty - for example a lilly is going to be way cheaper than a orchid but I love lillies so I was willing to compromise on that. I LOVED the flowers...I don't think the pictures do it justice. I got them to bring the cost down and I don't think I sacrificed anything.

Future Mrs M - I had an Escalade limo pick me, my BM's and mom up to go to the ceremony. My hubby & his guys had a Dodge 300, and that's also the same limo that transported us to the reception.

The limos were really nice and clean, stocked with drinks, on time, etc.. My contact was Jesus Licona and he was awesome to work with. He was very willing to work with my budget and he even went to meet me at the hotel when the limo picked me up.

I don't have any photos that show the entire limo, but here are some pics that our friends/family caught as we were headed to the reception. Jesus will also send you some pictures if you ask.

Nope, I was quoted and paid dollars.  You have to negotiate...they're always going to quote you more than the actual cost.  A lot will also depend on the distance you're travelling each way....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
