Val, congrats the riu was the best time of my life!!! I definitely  have a few tips. Don't use the spa, they really did not do a very good job and did not have a good selection of makeup. You can do a better job on your own.  I strongy recommend using grande garden for the floral. They made my wedding everything I could have dreamt of. 

 

The wedding was on the beach and it turned out perfect. I was concerned about privacy but the beach worked out fine and  way prettier then planned. Good luck and let me know if you ave any other questions!

Thank you Angie, We are going for the beach reception! What did you do for cocktail hour in between the ceremony, and reception. The resort told me they could host it on site of the ceremnoy but it will be an additional $600 dollars. do you remember how close by the local bar is to the beach ceremony site? Also what did you do for wedding cake, the resort gave me what i felt was a high price for a simle two tier cake for thirty people. Any suggestions? I did look into grande garden. She was very helpful, to be honest i am not sure how i ost touch with her in the planning process?? We arebooked through floral fantasy. So far Rosemarie has been amazing!! Thak you again for all of your help! It is so hard to find info on the Riu let alone pics, and previous brides experiences!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
