Hey I'm getting married at the Akumal on November 18th. I just found out about this forum...kind of late but better then not finding out about it at all! Just curous if anyone has any information on what the poolside reception is like and costs associated with it? We are getting married on the beach and then doing dinner at the Dolce Vita. Was originally thinking afterwards we could just go to the bars and what not but now I am thinking maybe of doing the poolside reception if it it is still possible to plan that. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Congratulations!

 

We get wed 15th april- its coming round so fast! Im anxious about our beach location due to the fact that my fiance is 6ft 2 Im 5ft 6 so 'need' to wear heels andd my dress hangs better that way. BUT beach/sand and heels dont go well. How did you get on? Is it hard surfaced with a wall infront before sea? I have 1 photo but can't make it out? Would love to see some of your photos please? Also in your opinion is it worth paying for the private pool reception after dinner? we have 22 of us and possibly at the portofino then jacuzzi bar after? Has anyone been to these or have any other useful comments msnwink.gif thanks all x

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
