Iberostar Bavaro

I've also been in touch with their resort photographer, and ended up having to add him as a facebook friend so I can look at some of his photos. Once he accepted my friend request, their were 90 to 100 pictures you can see in his photo albums of different kinds of wedding shots he's done.

Have you received any information on his pricing??  I'm getting married at the Iberostar Punta Cana and the package includes some pictures.  I've been looking at Michael Weiler and HDC photo's and think I would like to go with one of them.  I'm not sure if I should do that and try to get a reduced price on the wedding package (with no resort photographer) or if I should go with the provided photographer.

I'd like to do the Trash the dress thing and am not sure if the resort photographer does that.

terilina - I got pricing information from the Bavaro's wedding coordinator. I know the wedding packages at the Punta Cana are slightly cheaper than the Bavaro, but i don't know if the photography packages are the same price or if those are different as well. The photo prices I was given was 45 photos (6x8, printed or on cd) for $400, 90 6x8 photos and 2 12x18 photos (printed or on cd) for $750, 120 6x8 photos and 3 12x18 photos (printed or on cd) for $1000. There are also bigger packages that included digital books, etc. if you'd like me to send you that information.  I also have Nicola Bisogni's email address.

Do you have pricing information for HDC just so I can compare the two? We had looked at photosouvenir but decided we don't think we want to spend quite that much money....

Hi Andilynn,

I found HDC's photo prices on his website (under "The Experience" link, there is a hyper link in the first paragraph). Anyways, his package prices as listed are:

-- $690 (3 hrs coverage, DVD with photos, slideshow, set of prints -- 50-100 depending on the size you choose, and online gallery),

-- $990 (3 hrs coverage, DVD with photos, slideshow, set of prints -- 100-200 depending on the size you choose, plus 30 prints 8x12 size, online gallery, hard cover coffee table book)

--  $1350 (5 hrs coverage, DVD of photos, slideshow, 150-300 prints depending on size you choose, plus 30 prints 8x12 size, plus 5 prints 12x18 size, online gallery, larger hard cover coffee table book

-- $250 for TTD session (1 hr session, DVD with pictures, slideshow, 50 prints)

Overall very reasonable I think! Still deciding on where to get married, but if we go with Punta Cana, I definitely plan on HDC doing the pics!

  • 3 weeks later...

We are actually doing a renewal of vows ceremony and doing the paperwork part of the wedding here in the states to avoid some of the extra costs. Since we are doing the renewal, we were able to already pick a time.

And we did not give a deposit, they don't require one (they may not even accept them). I just set a date via email.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
