Yes I am getting into the hardcore planning also.  Right now, I am at a standstill until I get a final head count though.  We invited about 220 and are expecting about 100 but I cant really start buying things for the guests until I know for sure.

I haven't really decided on music yet, but I need to start thinking about that.

Hello Ladies,

I am a total noob and I am already pulling my hair out. We are getting married on June 12th, 2011 at the Dreams Cancun. We wanted the 11th but I'm sure one of you ladies has it.  I have been trying to go through all the posts so I don't have to ask the same question that has been already asked a bazillion times. I have been getting so frustrated with the whole process. I know the WC has a million things to do but her lag time is driving me nuts! I'm not sure what package I want but I can't get any clear answers on what is offered so I feel like I am totally stuck. We are still in the begining stages of throwing a wedding together in a different counrty and I am really starting to wonder what I got myself into..lol..

Hey est2005,

I'm getting married at the diff Dreams. The Dream Puerto Aventuras on June 11th so I didn't steal your date :) I feel your pain with the lag time an making decisions about things when you can't see what it really looks like! But have been reassured by all the other brides on these posts that it will all come together in the end.  About picking a package, how many guest do you have coming? I would compare each package and pick the one that fits the needs of you and your guest. We picked the middle package b/c we like the food on that one the best :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
