Ahhh, I promised myself I wouldn't look at the weather again and I just did :oP .  What I can say is that is has forcasted rain/t-storms every day and I doubt it has been like that.  I feel like it is probably a lot like Florida, where it forcasts a t-storm every day during the summer but may rain for 5 minutes.

Hi ladies,

Quick post from Cancun... The weather is B-E-A-Utiful, so I wouldn't worry. I've been here since the 7th and can tell you that we've had almost all clear sunny days. There was one night where we had a quick 10-20 min rain shower around 9PM and one morning that was DUMPING rain with thunder and lightening but all was clear and sunny by noon. I wouldn't sweat the weather! Scattered thunderstorms means that they might pass over your area but they don't hang around for too long. Everything has been SOOO amazing! More details to follow when I get back home in a few days. I hope that all of you other June 11 brides had an amazing time too and best wishes to the few of you who are still coming up!!!

Same for me. If I check at weather.com it has scattered or isolated showers everyday, but if I go to the Bahamas or Atlantis website it's sunny. So I'm not worrying about it. Keep the positive thoughts flowing :). We leave tomorrow morning!

Yes same here!! We aren't in Mexico anymoer (in Dominican!) but we were there last week and I had been haunted by thunder shower warnings but the entire time I was in Cancun it was so amazing!!! I actually had hoped I'd have a few more clouds on my wedding day!! Don't worry and stop looking at the weather! (trust me!)

Oh my gosh, I can't believe that we leave in 1 day! I have been very crazed, actually a bit emotional to be exact.. however when I get on that airplane I am sure that I will feel much better. Some of our guests leave in the morning however we do not leave until tuesday morning.

Anyone else feeling the pressure of last minute things?

I'm back and so sad its over!  We had a blast and our guest were literally blown away by the experience.  If I had to do it again I wouldn't change a thing - it was perfect.  We had 33 guests so we spent quality time with everyone.  It seems like every day was better than the next.  They loved the welcome bags and all the goodies inside.  They loved all we had planned and loved the resort.  I think people expected a nice wedding at a pretty place, but not anything over the top.  We exceeded expectations for sure including my own!  people kept saying "so are we doing this every year, right?"  I'm so happy...happy with the weekend, happy to be married.  I can't wait to see pictures!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
