As for the tipping....I haven't really thought about it yet :oP

I know I am definitely taking a lot of ones with me to tip for drinks/food from time to time at the resort (even though tips are technically included).  I don't really know the etiquite (sp?) of others??  I don't really think I'll tip the WC or photog?

Girls! What do you have left to do? We're down to weeks... days!!! It's crazy. I just can't believe how fast everything has flown by and I know there's no slowing down probably until after we say farewell to our last few wedding guests and have a few days alone, together, on the beach. Ahh.. It sounds so nice. I wish I was leaving tomorrow- take that back because I still have a few more things on my to do list:

*print welcome brochures once all details are finalized

*eyelash extensions

*hair triim

*mani/pedi

*wax

*pack

NOT BAD cheesy.gif

mostly pampering and getting myself into tip top shape...

Party wise - my girls threw a fabulous bachelorette party for me over the weekend - the same day as FIs bachelor party. Oh my goodness!! I had so much fun. They got a hotel where we all met and had some champagne, followed by dinner at a super cute restaurant, dancing like old times at a club and then.... probably the funniest/most awkward part of the night. They took me to an erotic art show. WOW! Interesting to say the least. Then we went back to the hotel for the night. I haven't had such a blast in quite a while! The only party that we have left at this point is a few days before we leave. We're having the wedding party over to our place for some drinks and grub and we're going to give them their gifts and thank them. I'm STOKED!!!!!

I know!!!  My list has definitely dwindled...

-finish packing -- I already started :)

-pick up dress

-print menus and programs

-find airport transportation from home to airport

-figure out a sitter for our cats :(

-Brazilian Blowout

-mani/pedi

-stock up on sunscreen, hairspray, etc.

@aeluzu - Your bachelorette party sounds amazing!  What fun!  An erotic art show?   I think that sounds disturbingly fantastic :)  I don't get a bachelorette party because literally, all of my friends are either pregnant or have had a baby in the last couple of months.  They would be no fun!  I figure I'll just have to have MORE FUN in Mexico! :)

I think I am the last bride here to leave!!!  Time at work is sooo dragging at this point!! (I'm a school teacher..waiting impatiently for summer vaca! lol).  We leave exactly 4 weeks from today!

I actually really think I only have to print and assemble my programs and welcome books!?!  I just ordered welcome tags and placecards from a seller on etsy, so I'm waiting for that to come in.  I already packed two carry-on bags (my FI thinks I'm nuts for it)...but I really just wanted to see how much room I still needed.  All wedding gifts, decorations and all but the liquids for the OOT bags fit, so we are pretty good to go I think!  I'm actually really excited to start packing...I do feel like I may get out my dresses and things soon to see what I have and what I still might need!?!

I had my 2nd dress fitting yesterday, and it fits so good!!  Just a few little adjustments and it'll be perfect!  She didn't get the chance to finish my TTD, so I'll go back mid-June to try everything on one last time and make sure I'm good to go!  I also go to try out my jewelry yesterday and realized that the things I was originally going to wear don't really look right.  Luckily my bridesmaid has the perfect earrings for me to borrow, and I'm doing away with a necklace because of my one shoulder dress and hair flower (don't want to have too much).  I'm also changing the shoes I was going to wear to something I already owned...go figure!

oh no..sorry that came out wrong...I'm doing away with a necklace BECAUSE I have a one shoulder on the right of the dress and the hair flower on the left...and with the pearl earrings I'm going to wear, I think its enough!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
