Have you found the suits you are getting for the groomsmen yet!?  We bought my FI's linen suit and the groomsmens matching linen pants from JC Penney and they are very nice.  The pants were $24.99 and the matching jacket was $69.99.  Plus I used a coupon code, so I got the whole suit for around $80!

...and yeah, our budget went up $2-3000 in the past few months by adding so many little things I didn't think of :oP.

It freaks me out in a good way. I have a lot to do!! Seeing all these late 2012 brides make me really notice how little time I have! Anyone else feel this way??? I remember when there were still a lot of 2010 brides around planning their wedding!

Yes i feel the same, i've been on this site for about 18mths now and it only feels like yesterday i joined. It is crazy that so many ppl i've spoken to for over a yr are now married and my time is coming up so fast. Very exciting though. I will be sad when its all over :o(

Ok so I was finally able to get my BMs together to look for BM dresses. I wasn't too worried about it. When we went there yesterday, they asked when my wedding is, and they are like, you reaaaaallly need to get on that!! We ended up picking a great dress but I had to pay $40 per dress extra to rush it. They said it would be June 1st without the rush, and we leave on the 6th. I need to ship one of the dresses south to my BM and she'll need to get alterations if necessary. Now, with the $40 per dress (I am getting 3) it will come April 21st. That makes me feel better, but I can't believe I had to pay that fee. I had NO idea I was cutting it so close! Thank god we were able to get together when we did!!

If you are planning on getting your BM dress from an actual bridal place and haven't done it yet, do it!!

I'm sure most people were smarter than me and planned way ahead lol

That's a great idea!  Our only problem is the Best Man is 6'5", so we might have too look somewhere that has big&tall sizing :)

  • 3 weeks later...

Yesterday was my 3 month mark! There is only 3 months left until our wedding! I am super excited and a bit nervous to get things done. I am finally starting to try to get in shape, and I reaaally have to start thinking of the things I need to get done right away, such as things I need to order!

Yippee!  We're almost at our 3 month mark too!  Really feels like it's coming up fast doesn't it??

I still need to get groom/groomsmen attire!  Eeek!

What are you getting your bridesmaids as a gift?  Are you doing OOT bags?

I am so excited to be in the double-digits away from my wedding day :o)  It really does feel like it will be here before we know it!  I spent the weekend doing the food tasting, cake tasting and photog meeting for our AHR, and also finishing my AHR invites with my mom since I won't be back home to work on the again before they need to go out! (I live 3 hours from my parents and my mom is helping me making everything!!)  We also figured out how we are going to make the girls' and my bouquets and the guys' starfish boutinerres!  That will be out project for when I go home in the end of April :o)

I got my bridesmaids a lounge chair cover, wet swimsuit bag, custom wristlet, starfish necklace, earrings and their hair flower.  I think I need to stop buying things lol  I am also doing OOT bags, which I think I am about done with!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
