I have some pictures from other brides and from Jorge our booked photographer. I would love to know what kind of things they have for rent, I really don't want to travel with anymore then the OOT bags. If you find out anything please post here! I've stayed at this hotel twice, though the last time wasa few years ago. The first time I had never been on a vacation before, and the hotel was great but I was really disappointed with the food... Now that being said, I went with my parents (I am an adult lol but it was a nice trip with them) and did pretty much what they wanted to do. I did enjoy the a la cartes but they preferred the buffet more and the grill. The second time it was just my friend and I, and I decided to give it another shot because I figured there was soooo much to do, the staff is amazing, you can walk to the market and I felt I didn't get to try everything the first time. The food was better, I tried all the a la cartes, I had a more reasonable expectation for the buffet, it's hard to remember things are going to taste different no matter what and it really was fine. I went on the day trip to Santo Domingo, it was GREAT, I would recommend it to anyone. And again, the staff and service were amazing. Thought I'd out it out there frankness getting married there. I'm getting in married in Mexico as my future mother in law is frm Mexico and I'd also lie go go somewhere else for my next vacation! I might go back to Barcelo Premium again in the future though, my fiancé has never been to DR and its a great trip and a great price usually.

I just got married last Saturday- 35 people total. No reception pictures yet- just wedding pics. We did a group dinner (chose the menu) the night before at Marlin (no cost) and rented the Mirador ($300) for the wedding reception for 3 hours with dinner (menu 3) and a DJ. Our dinner and dancing were outside and the breeze was great! We also had cocktail hour (included in package) on the wedding platform after the ceremony while we did pictures on the beach. We did a legal ceremony and chose the $1750 package with a few add ons (extra flowers, DJ). We used the resort photographer silver package and he was great! We left with hard copy and digital photos. The spa services were great- just bring a picture. Ariana and Evelyn are great. We got a suite- just request it from Ariana and remind her a few days before you leave. The food at the group dinner and wedding reception were great. The food in most of the special restaurants was good- Tokyo and Roma were our favorites. Don't worry about not having reservations, as long as one person has them we were able to get extra people in every night. The buffet is okay at best and breakfast is decent. It is the same quality of food as every other all inclusive I've been too. My only complaint is there were some bugs at night and someone us were bit bad. Just pack bug spray- we didn't think of that. Overall, we had a fantastic time and a gorgeous wedding!

We are getting married in Bavaro Palace Deluxe on November 16. We have also booked La Barcaza for a boat trip. I'm not sure where Bavaro Premium is in relation to Palace Deluxe, people told me now there are three hotels in the complex: bavaro golf, palace delux and the adults hotel (is this the Premium?) though the comments here are not the best for this hotel, people who I know and has been there tell me it's amazing and beautiful, the most beautiful beach in the area. Hope is true!

Hi guys, I'm so happy that you all had a great experience at your weddings. I'm planning my wedding for June 2014 at Barcelo and have so many questions but thanks to all your posts I feel like heavy weight was lifted from my shoulders. However, I want to know what add ons did you have at your receptions and the prices (if possible). Do u have any pics of the restaurant's decoration? If yes, you can email them to lenisaespinosa@yahoo.com. And feel free to give me tips and advices on do's and don'ts.

Thanks so much. Enjoy your new married life!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
