Any Barcelo Premium Punta Cana Brides?

Recommended Posts

Hi Ladies,

I'm planning on getting married next april at the barcelo punta cana and have been catching up with all the information you've been sharing on the forum.  So helpful already in helping to make decisions. I was wondering if anyone had pictures to share of the reception sites. I was hoping to do the Marlin but after reading Dania's post about how it only holds 60 people I guess our only option is the El Paris ?!?!? Could you share a picture or two of what the reception space looked like for your wedding day?!?!  Thanks again for all the wonderful advice...I'll share any additional info that has been mentioned on here when I meet with Ariana in a couple weeks.

Dania & Bebe,

thanks for all the great details! I am waiting to hear back from Barcelo Bavaro Palace... not sure how much different it is...

But as far as the ambiance at Barcelo Punta Cana, how is it? is it a party resort? my guests love having fun, dancing and partying till the wee hours of the night or morning... lol

Maybe I need to consider this resort too... I think I have some time... being that our wedding is for July 2013.

thanks ladies!

Eva

Hi Ladies,

I have book Caribbean Emotions and all went so smooth. I am soooooo super excited. I have all the major stuff done. Just need to get the paperwork for the legal marriage which can only be done 90 before the wedding. Question: What are you ladies doing for guest favors and is anyone or has anyone done welcome baskets for their guests? Oh yeah, one last thing: For all the items you took over, did you take it in your suitcase or did you courier it before hand?

Thanks!

Sarah

We are going to do welcome bags. We are going to put chap stick with personal labels, sunscreen of course, water with our labels and possibly candy and other items for the guests. We are mailing the stuff to the Hotel most likely since bringing it as luggage would be too much.

Thanks for all the info. I am also getting married at the Barcelo Punta Cana in January 2012. I have been in touch with Ariana the WC,  she is very nice and replay to my emails very fast. She just told me to book the any room I want and she will upgrade us accoding to the wedding package we choose. She also said that I dont have to send any deposit in advance, I think we will pay for everything depeding on what extras we want, once we get to the hotel. I also booked Photosouvenir, the are amazing! Good luck to all of you future brides!

Rousseva,

Could you let us know when you get back what some of the add on's are, like bouqet options, flowers, decorations, table linens, etc and the costs associated with them? and maybe a review?

I don't think this information is readily available and I am sure we are all curious.

Thank you!

Sasha

Hi Ribbit101,

The cost for the Beach party is $300.00. The cost to rent the Marlin is $300.00. It is a private 2nd story part of the restaurant and it has its own bar. I decide to do this just in case of rain and because I have the place from 7:00 pm to 12:00 am to we can party. I guess it makes a difference depending on how many people you are having. I am at 45 and we need our own space and party. I love the beach party but it is not completely private. I just want private for one night. the rest of the nights is PARTY TIME!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
