Things to do in Puerto Vallarta

Recommended Posts

Hi girls,

I'm working on the newsletter that we'll place in our guest's welcome bags and I want to give them some info on fun activities to do and sites to see in the Puerto Vallarta area. What did/are you all recommend(ing) to your guests?

Thanks very much for any suggestions,

Heather

the Outdoor Adventure Tour is a great all-round tour for anyone who wants to have a fun day out. It has a bit of everything, speed boats, trucks, mules (!!?), canopy, rappelling, nature hiking... and the best thing about the tour is you are done and back at your resort by no later than 3pm so you can enjoy the sun for a few hours. I think it costs around $85 per person. It includes unlimited water and a snack at the end.

Another great tour is the sunset cruise. The cool thing about this cruise is that the sail boats only have room for about 14 people, so it can be a really intimate experience. We have done the tour just by the 2 of us and it was a great way to meet other couples and we have also done it as a group of 14... which was a blast!! It costs about $70 per person, but that includes free bar and food.

I second the sailing cruise around the bay! We did this on our honeymoon week, and we are SO glad we did!!!!! It was so much fun and such a beautiful day. We saw dolphins and lots of whales. We were on a boat with 6 other people, so it was just the 8 of us, plus the 2-man crew! We got to sail the boat as well! It was just awesome! You are served a fruit bowl first thing, then some chips & salsa, and then you have lunch, and it is open bar. It was great!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
