Is anyone using an outside florist in Punta Cana? I am wondering what their costs would be compared to going through the resort.

    Thanks!! =)

No but I would be curious to compare rates.

I'm trying to get that information from a friend whose family lives there. I will get back to you if I come up with anything.

Someone posted this website before: :: Floristeria el Tronco ::

Most resorts have their own florists on site, but they are rather expensive and the choices are limited.

I'm highly considering silk flowers from home, personally.

            Hope the website helps :)

I have met with the people from Floristeria el Tronco twice. They did a bunch of samples for me and I loved what I saw. Now I am waiting on the quote. I will let you all know when I hear back from them. They have been a joy to work with so far, so I hope the price is reasonable.

I heard back from Guillermina at the Floristeria El Tronco with a quote. The quotes are in pesos, but it ends up being about $650 for the following:
                1 bridal bouquet
                1 boutonniere for groom
                4 bridesmaid bouquets
                4 boutonnieres for groomsmen
                2 boutonnieres for fathers
                2 wrist corsages for mothers
                12 centerpieces with vases
1 larger centerpiece for table at ceremony
2 arrangements to be hung on gazebo posts

I think that it is a pretty good deal and like I said before the examples she did for me were awesome. PM if you want the breakdown of price per item.

Thanks for the info! Are they going to do the set up the day of the wedding or are they going to leave them with the wedding coordinator at the resort?
