Best Waterproof Wedding Mascara (Knot Poll Results)

Thanks! I just bought some mascara, but realized it wasn't waterproof after. So I went and saw that L'Oreal was on sale - ew, I know why it was horrible. It's waterproof but I felt like my eyelashes would never come off. So I'm back to square one, and need to get waterproof everything for next month.

Also - what are you girls wearing on your lips? I want some sort of color, but I don't normally wear lipstick so I don't know what is good and will stay (I'm not sure how to reapply without having FH carry it in his pocket lol). Any tips?

i've tried out a couple of the DiorShow waterproof mascaras, but so far they haven't lived up to their price tag. good thing sephora has a great return policy and i've just exchanged the "blackout" for the "iconic" (both waterproof version)

The Lash Injection Mascara by Too Faced left me with racoon eyes before lunchtime.

my test is a regular day at work then off to a hot yoga class. will let you know of any amazing results.
UH OH I was totally planning on getting the diorshow waterproof- can you tell me what you didn't like about it??

At Sephora, the artist helping me quietly suggested L'Oreal Voluminous waterproof. Personally, I like L'Oreal Double Extend - even better than some of the more expensive ones I've tried (urban decay, yves saint laurent).

I definitely agree with the greatness of the Urban Decay eye primer! It's the best and keeps any brand of eye shadow in place - even the low end stuff!

tried the DiorShow Iconic today started in the monring and through a 30 min lunchtime circuit training class + 15 mins in the infrared sauna.

Not too bad, held up quite well by the end of all that, but left my under eye area grey after a shower.

Comparing the Iconic to the Voluminous, the Iconic gave thicker lashes (but thicker product) & curled a bit - uses a cool new brush style, but comes with large pricetag ($36 CND). The Voluminous formulation gave pretty full and lush lashes, though not as dark, but much more budget friendly.....for not huge difference as both were well in sweaty environments.

the voluminous is my new fave everyday mascara. =)

hope that helps a bit

Thanks for the mascara and make up tips. I will definitely be crying (since I can't even think about the wedding w/o getting misty) and also wanted to wear make up for our TTD. We end up going under the water too and I know nothing about makeup sad.gif

I hear sephora has everything though. I'm thinking just some shadow and mascara.

I ended up using a MAC Splashproof mascara for my wedding and TTD shoot and it held up really well.  I tried it out first during our first few days in the pool and it didn't run.  By the very end of our TTD I had a tiny bit of makeup under my eyes, but I think it was from my eyeshadow or eyeliner, which were not waterproof.  Just make sure to get hubby to check you every now and then :)

It made my lashes darker and longer, but they could have been fuller.  I didn't feel like wearing false lashes, and was too happy and laid back to get bogged in details.

TTD is SO FUN, good luck to all you desties!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
