Oh Jen; your wedding sounded so beautiful & magical! Thank you so much for such a wonderul and detailed review! As I was reading it, I could imagine everything so well; you got me sooooo excited now!

I had a question for you (dont I always? lol) Sorry Im becoming such a Bridezilla *sigh* blush2.gif

In your review, I noticed you said you cut the cake after the ceremony and then you mentioned the cake once again at the reception; is this the same cake? Did you cut it twice? Sorry if this sounds like a silly question.

Also, Ive noticed that a lot of resorts are horrible at making wedding cakes; how did yours turn out? Was it similar to what you asked for? A pic of it would be great if its not too much of a pain :)

Thanks again for taking pics of the SSG...I cant wait to see them

THANK YOU AGAIN for everything!!!! Its truly appreciated!!

xoxo

We cut the cake immediately after the ceremony, I guess for pictures, and only my husband and I had a piece. Then the cake was brought to the reception and later while everyone was dancing, we cut more of it to serve to all of our guests.

Dolfinluck - we had the meeting setup before we got there. I think we arranged that about 2 or 3 months ago when I asked her when we would be meeting.

Sunandsand - We just asked for two tiers and really had no idea what it would look like until the day of the wedding. The white is actually fondant and the brown is icing.

Jennifer,

What an awesome review! Your wedding was absolutey gorgeous!! You are a stunning bride and everything looked just perfect (just like we knew it would). I'm so happy that the photographer issue worked out for you; looking back at the variety of pictures that you now have will be like reliving the most wonderful week of your life all over again!

I just have one quick question for you, how long did you end up staying at DLR 7 days or 10?

Thanks,

Nadia

Thanks so much for the picture...you're awesome :) To tell you the truth, this is one of the nicest resort wedding cakes I have ever seen; no joke :) You can actually do a lot with it...I could place a few flowers instead of the frosting :)

Thanks again Jen

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
