Congratulations!!!!  We shot a wedding in Punta Cana, República Dominicana. The wedding was held at the Paradisus Palma Real Resort in Playa de Bavaro, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Hereâ€s something about the area from Paradisus website-â€Punta Cana, itâ€s all about the beach. Punta Cana is undeniably breathtaking with tall swaying palms scattered along 21 miles of some of the whitest and finest coral sand beaches in the world. The area has become a haven for vacationers who are seeking a beach chair, a Piña Colada and a good read.†- www.paradisus.com

Whoo hoo! Booked the resort, the TA, and the photographers. ^_^

Dreams la Romana, October 27, 2012.

That is, if we can overcome the miscommunication that it's a Saturday, not a Sunday (since there are no wedding on Sunday). >.< And if the flights work out for that day. Aiyeee!

I want to send out the invitations, but am nervous because there are no flights set yet.

How long do you ladies have to wait for your flight schedule? Any concerns?

Congrats! That is so exciting!

Flight schedules were not available for me until atleast 1 year before departure. I sent out Save The Dates about 8 months in advance, without any flight information. I actually ended up changing my wedding date because of the flight schedule, but no one really seemed to care or notice. I would recommend a wedding website to keep your guests up to date on travel information. I included the link to our website on our Save The Dates.

Happy Planning!

Everyone that was invited knew where we would be staying and when the wedding would be long before flight schedules came out, in fact most of them had already put down a deposit on their rooms!! That being said, we sent out our STDs exactly 1 year in advance so they did arrive about a month before flights were published so we just sent an email update when flights became available.

I agree that a wedding website is also a good idea, I'm not sure how many people are actually looking at mine though! :S

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
