One more thing, which photographer from Photosouvenir did you use and which package did you go with? My friend may not be able to come now so I'm trying to figure out all our options and considering prices into our budget and all.  Thanks, congrats again!

Arturo was our photographer @ Excellence. I can't say enough wonderful things about our pictures. They turned out sooooo good, I'm happy with all of them. We did the 2 hour gold package. You get a discount of $268 (I think) off the package if you're wedding pkg includes photos. We spent a little over an hour before the ceremony taking pictures & then probably another 30-45 minutes after. We were able to enjoy our whole cocktail hour & we had all the right lighting for all of the photos. We did the 20 minute video through Photo Souvenir as well & it turned out perfect as well. I think 20 minutes is just the right length. They recorded the whole ceremony as well as the photo shoot afterward. The edited version of it looks really good. If you pay for your photos with cash or traveler's checks, you also get a 10% discount on everything.

Thanks Amy, that's the package we were looking at (as well as doing a TTD...but again, budget depending) I was worried that two hours wouldn't be enough, but it looks like you got a ton of shots.  We are doing the upgraded package at the resort that includes photos (we opted for the Excellence Club for 7 nights to get the discount there) And thanks so much for the heads up on the 10%, did you pay with US dollars, or did you have to exchange your money for pesos?  Thanks again, and congrats!

OOT bag question for those who have been to Excellence, particularly in April/May...does it get chilly at night? I've seen a lot of girls put pashminas in the OOT bags and supposedly they're a hit, but if it doesn't get chilly at night, I don't really see a point to it. Any thoughts? We're already doing the OOT bag itself, personalized travel mugs, zip lock badge holders and lanyards, first aid kits, reed diffusers, hand sanitizer, Emergen-C packets, and some natural meds (wow, now that I list it all, I think it is enough anyway)  I just don't want to spend unnecessarily, that's all.  Thanks!  Getting so excited for April now!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
