I think there has been a few brides married there, try searching 'Coral Cove' under advanced search for 'Jamaica' and 'Wedding Reviews'. I think a review is also online under TripAdvisor.

I looked into this location myself, they are really friendly and quick to reply to any questions you have and try hard to meet all your requests. They also have good pruices. I decided not to go with them though as they have limited capacity (I think it is around 40) and we are inviting 130 and have no idea how many will come.
They also a few hours drive from the airport and have a lovely little beach 'coral cove' but no pool. Some of my guests are picky so I didn't want to risk it.

Good luck!

Hey! Thanks so much for the info! After spending a few more hours today looking into Coral Cove, we've decided against it, but only for the fact that they don't have air conditioning in some of the guest rooms. I don't know about you, but in hot weather, a/c is a MUST for me. I also didn't know they didn't have a pool? That's another minus for me. I think we are most likely going to go with RIU..just not sure where? Montego Bay looks amazing..but so does Ocho Rios and Negril! Hahaha! We may have to take a quick trip down there in June/July to check them out. Again, thanks so much!! Happy planning!! :-)

I am also planning on getting married at Coral Cove but I have a few concerns. The resort does not offer an air + resort rate thus I am not sure what to tell my guests. Do I just give them the info for Coral Cove (so that they can book their room) and then give them the dates for the flight and tell them to search their own flight?

This might sound like a ridiculous question but I am so used to dealing with travel agents and getting a "package deal" so dealing directly with the resort is new to me. Does anyone have any suggestions? PLEASE HELP!!!

Hey chan porty not sure if you found your answer yet but we were going to get married there next summer everything is booked separately. They told us that our guests just had to email or call them and tell them what party they were with and then they would be booked that way! Hope that helps!

My wedding party is small, and we are going to Coral Cove end January.  They have plans to build a pool, but are trying to pick the perfect spot, but hey, the water is as warm as bath water.  I like the non-commericalized aspect, and more exposure to the culture I will get from this resort.  From speaking with other brides, they are willing to just about jump through hoops to get you what you wish, as they are not a big resort (technically a B&B).  It has about 15 rooms, the newest addition being the night Jasmine cottage...they have a facebook page with some wonderful pictures...

We booked separately, our flights thru Air Canada (4 return flights, mine, hubbys, my daughters, and my mothers) and everything included it cost us about 2800.00 for all 4.   The resort, hubby and I are staying two weeks, my daughter one, and my mom 4 days, including the wedding bliss package, extra flowers, extra decorations, a special cake (they offer rum cake...lol...not a fav for my family) a special diet for my diabetic mom, non-alco champange...was roughly  6K USD.  I'm paying for my moms stay...

My other guests (3)  just had to contact the resort via email to reserve their room and put down a deposit.  What I like about Coral cove is that they will allow you to pay by cheque, money order or cash, and give you a 3% discount if you do.  I opened up a USD account, and have mailed them cheques via registered mail.  Saves on Credit card fees!!

I do know of a couple of brides who did book with a TA...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
