Don't know where to get married in Riviera Maya

Hi all, I'm trying to figure out where is the best place to get married in Playa. Have been to a huge all inclusive there but really want something more intimate. Nothing less than a four star but not too pricey either. Looking to have about 30 to 40 guests and most places say they accommodate 10 for the wedding? We really need help as people are understandably on us about a date and a place as they need to plan. This is my second marriage but my fiance has never been married, we are in our 40's and a want a nice, simple but beautiful wedding with the emphasis on the party after! Any suggestions will be gratefully received! Thanks.

Welcome!! Definitely check out the Riviera Maya section on this site - it is so informative! Also weddingsmexico.com helped me out a lot too. It gave a lot of information that you couldn't find out from hotel websites unless you reached out to the coordinator. Hope this helps! Happy planning!

Welcome! Yes, the RM forum should help you, and you might also check the wedding reviews section once you have some resorts in mind. As for the wedding numbers, I think most of those resorts that say 10 may be referring to the number of guests included in the package, but you can usually add more guests for a per person fee.

Have you considered a travel agent? They can be helpful for matching you with resorts that fit your needs. Good luck with your planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
