I keep trolling the January 2011 thread here... and since we have a few February brides, I thought we could start our own thread. So who is getting married in the DR February, 2011? What have you done so far?

 

I'm getting married February 3rd at the Majestic Colonial. We booked our ceremony with the resort, our photographer, videographer, DJ, and Pastor Rick York. We sent our STD's out on valentines day, and we plan to send invitations out in June with all of the travel information.

 

Currently shopping around different rates with TA's and getting excited to look at dresses next weekend! What about everyone else? I know lots of brides have done tons more already...

YAY Thanks for starting this thread!!

 

I'm getting married on February 21, 2011 at Dreams Punta Cana!!

 

So for we've booked our ceremony for 4pm, I've got my dress ordered and I have my shoes! I've got my invitations ordered and should have them sent out by the end of next month. Thats about it so far, I'm still trying to decide who I'm going to use for a photographer....

Oryx, thanks for starting this thread. I'm getting married Feb 26, 2011 at the Riu Palace Punta Cana. I have confirmed my ceremony time of 4pm, ordered my dress & jewellery, sent out Save the Dates, waiting to hear back from the photographer, started my OOT bags and booked 8 guests through my travel agent! Woohoo!

Hi!!!! Im getting married February 26, 2011 too!! My guests are staying at the majestic elegance but I am doing my ceremony and reception at the jellyfish restaurant! I have the photographer, dj, and got my dress! The save the dates are going out next week. I havent even started my oot bags or anything like that! I feel very behind!

Woo-hoo, congrats ladies!! I am starting to get very excited. I can't believe you all have your dresses already! I guess I had better get moving...

 

Adenen16 -- I have booked Phil Steingard also. I'm so happy, I hear he's amazing. Can't wait!

Aww Finally a thread for us Feb 2011 brides. I am getting married Feb 17th at Dreams Punta Cana. So far I have only confirmed the date. I am shopping for TA's right now and I started designing my invites. We aren't doing any STD's since everyone already knows about the planned date and location.

I am getting married in February 2011 in D.R. but have not yet decided on exact resort. I am thinking about the Riu Bachata in Puerto Plata, but still doing research on it. Any info from other brides would be appreciated. I have never wanted to plan a wedding so I want simple and easy. The only thing I have done is my dress is bought. Save the dates should be going out soon as soon as we figure out exactly where we are going. Thankfully I have a friend who is a graphic designer who is taking care of the save the dates and invitations. So much to do before February!

Hi everyone,

I am actually planning on getting married Jan. 31, but I figure I am close enough to Feb. to chat with you guys too. I am trying to have a legal ceremony but the wedding coordinator from my resort (Paradisus Punta Cana) told me that the minister is not booking 2011 weddings until June. Has anyone else heard this? So....I have made my save-the-dates and they are ready to be mailed with a wedding date that may or may not happen! I have my dress and my ceremony time, but I have no idea what wedding package I want to do as of yet. I have started my OOT bags and I have booked with my travel agent and have 10 people who have put their deposits down.

 

smtc- try breakawayonline.ca they are in Oshawa, but they have good prices. Ask for Kim, she does the group travel, she has been very helpful and patient with me even though I have asked her for a million prices :)

I'm glad you started this oryx. I know we talked about it and we definitely need our own thread.

I'm happy to start the month off wedding our wedding on February 1, 2011 at the Majestic Colonial.

We've booked the symbolic ceremony for 3:00pm, photographer, did the save the dates and waiting to book the actual trip.

Dress shopping was terrible so I'm hoping for a better next time, maybe with some better lighting.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
