All Costa Rica Brides to be...

Recommended Posts

The casa you choose looks great.  We stayed at another of Escape Villas properties two years ago when we were in Manuel Antonio.  They take good care of their properties and look as good if not better in person.  We are planning on getting married in January 2012, we are trying to decide on a venue right now.  There are too many nice places to choose from!  My wedding planner is earning every bit of the money we've paid for, I think I'm driving her crazy with questions!  I will defintely check out the link you posted for the cake, we don't have anything for that yet.

Eventos Boadicea has been very helpful and they have amazing stuff.

We have already found someone to make our cake as well ... not sure if you are interested in her info. She has some amazing cakes as well.

So exciting!!! I cannot wait to be a Costa Rica bride!

When are you getting married?

ckntb,

For weddings at the Riu keep in mind that they have staff photographers. If you bring someone outside the hotel there will be a fee of $200 for photographer and a day pass ($80). The flower providers are the same ones for the general area of Guanacaste so you can rest with this area, just give them specific designs you want.

Here is a wedding that took place there recently. Beach is dark sand but pretty photogenic. Nice location.

Hello!  Our wedding at the Coyaba in Jamaica was amazing...but now it's time to help my friends plan their wedding :)

Costa Rica is a special place to them & they are looking for a venue for 120 - 150 people and would like to rent out the entire resort, i.e. none of the massive places.  Does anyone know of any very nice resorts that have 50 - 60 rooms that would accommodate a slightly upscale event for a long weekend?

Thnaks!!wink.gif

Hello!
I am getting married in Dominical at the end of Sept. 2011. We haven't chosen the date yet, because we will be staying in a villa that last week and will just pick a day to get married on the beach. We are officially getting married at home in Colorado before we leave, so we don't have to worry about marriage certificates or legalities while we are down there. Everything is going to be VERY low key.

I am having a hard time though trying to figure out how to make the wedding "reception" special since almost everyone that is coming to the wedding (20 of us) are staying in the villa together so it will pretty much be a party every night.

Any ideas? I don't really want to spend money on decorations and all that fan fare because this is my 2nd wedding and I regretfully already wasted money on all that stuff. I am now considering having our wedding dinner at a local restaurant, but that depends on the cost. I have a few inquiries sent out.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself. Looks like many people on this thread posted last year, but maybe there are some new CR brides??

Has anyone used the services of Einar Villavicencio or Noel Ibo Campos as officiants? Did you enjoy the ceremony that they performed and was the paperwork handled easily?

Also, has anyone used Costa Rica Wedding Photography? Did the photos turn out well and arrive in a decent amount of time? I saw that someone mentioned using Lifetime Digital Imaging in this thread. Did you like how the photos turned out?

Our wedding is coming up so quickly and I still feel like I have some much to arrange!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
