Moon Palace Wedding Coordinator Questions

Recommended Posts

Thank you!!! I JUST booked my Wed for THIS Nov16/17 (2013!!!!) and will be assigned my offsite coordinator tomorrow. I will ask for Renee. Thank you! Any other tips/advice are welcome! Thanks

Just a little advice: I specifically requested Valeria based on what I heard from past brides and was not disappointed. I didn't have contact with her until the week before the wedding but was not worried because I had Renee, who was my off-site coordinator and was totally wonderful. I didn't have to deal with things that past brides complained about like the outside vendor fees and set up fee for my personal decorations. I just paid the guest pass for my videographer and dj . . . that was it! Mind you, I only told them my guests were providing these service and never mentioned that they were actually local vendors. I had a HUGE bag of decorations and very specific instructions of how everything was suppose to be and Valeria went above and beyond. I was a veryyyy picky bride but got everything I wanted thanks to Renee and Valeria. Be persistent about what you want and what you are NOT willing to pay. I negotiated absolutely everything and got what I wanted in the end. I will post pics soon.

Hi, Our wedding day was amazing :-) We got married at 4pm Tucan gazebo, 11th October 2013 We had our cocktail hour at the Tucan garden and dinner and reception on the Tucan terrace. All perfect :-) The horse and carriage is a must!! We had the mariachi band during the cocktail hour to keep guests busy while we had photos on the beach ect.. They were fantastic and very funny. Even played requests!! Weather was perfect, food was great, we didn't have to do anything but turn up!! Valeria was brilliant, we met with her the day after we arrived at the hotel. We went through the emails I had been sending our off site wedding coordinator (Brenda) and it was very easy. Valeria made us both feel very relaxed about the whole process, she was amazing. We took decorations eg.. Wedding favors, chair sashes, scatter crystals ect. . And Valeria set them up perfectly at no extra cost!! Extra fees weren't even discussed!! Valeria was at all 3 of our private dinners that we had set up and made sure everything was ok before she left. On the wedding day she stayed with us through the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and our reception. I can't recommend her enough, Valeria was brilliant We had PSAV for our audio package and dance floor. All was set up before the ceremony (4pm) very polite and would highly recommend We had Ocean photo studio for our photography and videography. They were great, so friendly. Did all the shots we asked for and so much more. Again I would highly recommend I will post pics soon xx

Hi, has anyone had Miriam as a coordinator? Our wedding is next Friday, Nov 22nd. :)

Random question about the credit for nights redeemed for all recent brides...if you had a credits remaining balance did the resort give you a check for the remaining balance?

We reached 82 nights and paid for a 7 night stay for my fiance and I. We just received our purchase order and it it says our credits for nights redeemed is $2,688. Once they deducted our costs (music, horse and carriage, extra hours of reception) the remaining credit is $1,713. I assumed we would get that given back to us since the nights are "complimentary." The PO states that the credit can be used for more wedding extras only. Can any recent brides provide any advice or your own experience for me? :)

Hi! What was the end result of your credits? Looks like we might have the same situation!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
