Moon Palace Wedding Coordinator Questions

Recommended Posts

Hey fellow MP Brides! Does anyone have reviews on the MP Vendors? We're planning on having a very basic wedding with DIY decor and such, but I HAVE to have a photographer and mariachi. I don't want to have to pay the outside vendor fee, so if anyone has any suggestions on who to get through MP, that would be great! If you did get the mariachi, how was it? How long did they play for? Was it just the ceremony or reception? (We hope to have 75 room nights, so we are hoping for a free private event and we would like for them to play there while everyone eats - and then connect and ipod for the rest of the night with our own docking station)

Thanks in advance!

I'm really confused about this $500 vendor fee.  They told me just $93 dollars.. Hmmm..

My Question:  Also, can you let me know what the outside vendor fee is if we decide to use an outside photographer?

WC response:

One of the most popular photographers in Cancun is:

Del Sol Photography (Here in copy) they can give a quotation according to your needs. The payment and arrangements is directly with them

Please be advice that external vender has to pay a Day Pass. And I will require that you provide to me the following information:

Vender Company:

Sign Up service:

Arrival Date:

Arrival Time:

Number of persons:

Name of the person (s)

Hello all,

I will be getting married at Moon Palace on 9.1.13 and I have a question regarding the rooming list with flight itinerary & room confirmation spreadsheet. Did any of you have issues filling all of this information out? Shouldn't there be an easier way instead of having to contact all of the guests attending my wedding to ask them for the flight info, room confirmation number, etc? I thought they would just be able to say the are attending my wedding and then there'd be a block of rooms reserved for my guests.

Also, did any of the previous brides have issues with their wedding planner responding to their emails/questions in a timely manner?

I am not sure how to fill out that information or if there is a simple way, I am not at that step yet.  However, I have heard that the wedding planners usually do not respond quickly until closer to your wedding day because they are focusing their time on present brides..and not to worry, because once your day is here, they will be fully dedicated to you as well! :)

Does anyone know a contact for Zuniga? I contacted [email protected] about a month ago, and still have not gotten a response from her. Is this normal for them or do I just have a wrong contact?

Thank you!

Hi Jessduran11,

Hope your well :)

Iâ€m getting married on the 9.12.13 and had to fill out the rooming list! We found that once we got going it was quite easy to fill out has most of guest were flying out for a week from the UK and so had the same flight details.

I just asked them all to forward the booking confirmations as then itâ€s all on email to copy and paste.

Yes they can be a bit slow in responding but i have found they are helpful enough once they do.

Which package have you picked? You must be excited as your only a few weeks away now!! :)

Nicola

Just wondered how she was during the whole process :-)

Thanks

Just a little advice: I specifically requested Valeria based on what I heard from past brides and was not disappointed. I didn't have contact with her until the week before the wedding but was not worried because I had Renee, who was my off-site coordinator and was totally wonderful. I didn't have to deal with things that past brides complained about like the outside vendor fees and set up fee for my personal decorations. I just paid the guest pass for my videographer and dj . . . that was it! Mind you, I only told them my guests were providing these service and never mentioned that they were actually local vendors. I had a HUGE bag of decorations and very specific instructions of how everything was suppose to be and Valeria went above and beyond. I was a veryyyy picky bride but got everything I wanted thanks to Renee and Valeria. Be persistent about what you want and what you are NOT willing to pay. I negotiated absolutely everything and got what I wanted in the end. I will post pics soon.

I just uploaded some pics from the wedding on my profile under the "wedding" album.

P.S. I was told the Moon did not make elaborate cakes well but I took the chance and they made our wedding and grooms cake exactly as I requested (including adding a fake tier for free:)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
