My wedding is May 13, 2010 and i STILL haven't heard anything directly from them! I sent my ceremony outline, then I got an email that that says they recieved it a few days later, and that was it...I guess you can call them, but the WC's on the boat are that ones that actually answered all my q's. Hope this helps...

I just talked to someone from the wedding experience. My wedding is in 10 days. The person that I spoke to was really nice! She just told me what to expect on the day of. I guess there wouldn't be a point for them to call that early. Our phone call was about 5 mins. But at this point almost everything is almost finished.

Carnival Weddings sent me something from A Wedding For You with a Sample Ceremony, poem options, options for a rose ceremony, sand ceremony and unity candle ceremony....do you just tell them what you want a week before the wedding? I just want to make sure everything is right.

You need to fill out those forms (selecting the options you want) and send them in to The Wedding Experience 3 weeks before the wedding if I remember correctly. They'll send you a confirmation email after they recieve the forms from you, but they may not contact you by phone until a week before the wedding to go over everything with you.

There were no forms with it...just examples. I'll ask the wedding dept. Is A Wedding For You, Inc., the same as The Wedding Experience? None of my forms say The Wedding Experience. All of the ceremony related info says "A Wedding For You, Inc." Thanks!

And Congratulations, Lauren!

Thanks!!!

I think that even if you don't hear from the Weddng Experence (I think my paperwork did say Wedding Experience) everything will be fine. By the tme they call you, you have already finalized your detals by sending in all the forms that ask you the q's. Of course this is my wishful thinking as my wedding is next week, lol. Now I'm just hoping that I won't have any probs taking my dress on the plane with me (i'm going spirit, gulp!)

Are you getting married on the ship or in one of the ports? That may be the difference. i got married on the ship. In any case, I would think there should be forms that you would need to fill out to select what you want. Contacting the Carnival Wedding Dept is a good idea to find out for sure.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
