Bringing Real Rings With You?

Recommended Posts

We brought our real rings with us - I wore my e-ring the whole time (it is insured). DH carried the wedding bands on him when we travelled and kept them in the in-room safe till the wedding - the way the safe worked was that we created our own code to open it so I don't know how it could have been broken into. i wore both rings after the wedding, in the ocean, pool and even to Dunns River Falls and ZipLining. I do have a habit of keeping my thumb on my ring in the water, just to make sure it's there.

This is a GREAT question. A few weeks ago i posted this question to the brides who got married at the same resort as i will be. They all said they traveled with their rings and had no issues. One girl said she stored her rings and e-ring in teh room saf everyday while she was at the beach and ppol- with no issue. I might consider buying a "mini-safe" the kind you lock a spare house key in- lock the rings in that and again in the room safe. I will have my e-ring insured but, i dont want to take any chances...

i think we've decided to take them all with us. we'll be leaving them inside the safe before the day of the ceremony (4 days into our trip) and if we go snorkelling or something...but definately will have insurance on them.

since we will also be putting our laptop, camera and etc. in there when not in use too, i'm hoping it will all be okay.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
