Catalonia Royal Tulum - have trouble reaching them...

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies! I am leaning towards having my destination wedding at Catalonia Royal Tulum (CRT), and e-mailed their general email address at royaltulum.reservas@hoteles-catalonia.es, but I have not gotten response. I emailed twice and nothing.

Has anyone had a wedding here?? Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

This isnt fully answering your question but i am booked with the Catalonia Riviera Maya and they are as equally difficult to get hold of.

I sent them an email about prices for Jan 2011 and they came back to me withhin 2 days; i have since emailed them asking other questions and have had no response. It might be worth giving them a call as this worked for me.

Thank you Josietoms!! I found another e-mail address and I e-mailed today. I heard from a nice lady who's visited CRT for 19 times that there is a new wedding coordinator whose name is Jaquiline. But that's as much information I have so far for CRT wedding.... If I still have trouble communicating with them, I will have to switch to Secrets Maroma Beach Resort. I love the resort also but it's the cost issue that I'm hung up on.. Anyway, good luck on your wedding at Catalonia Riviera Maya!!!

Hi MrsGP2be....my wedding is right around the same time as yours..I'm on 10/10/10.  Woohoo October 2010 brides!

I wanted to have mine at CRT but I thought I was having some minors in attendance so I chose CPM (Playa Maroma)...turns out the minors won't be attending so I could have chosen CRT all along! I vacationed at CRT last year and loved it!!!!!!!!!!

are you using their photographers or an outside photog?

Did Jacqueline give you details on the ceremony set up on the beach or give you pics?  I'm just curious since most pictures online are of the CRM white tent.  CPM confirmed they don't use the tent (they use an arch) but I've asked for pics and haven't been able to get any.  So, I was just curious what CRT used.

Both CRT & CPM don't seem to be as popular for weddings as CRM so it is like an adventure digging for info/pics online!

Hi tfidely!  I'm not using the photog at CRT-I'm either using Ivan Luckie or Cecilia Dumas.  Who are you using?  The ceremony locs at CRT are in their massage hut palapa on the beach or you can pay to use a gazebo (huppah).  You can also have your ceremony closer to the water, which is what we're doing.

Happy Planning :)

Hi MrsGP2be!!

I am sooo sorry for the late response!  After many months of research, I decided to have my wedding at Secrets Maroma instead and my wedding is 2 weeks away indeed!  I still want to visit CRT in the future though, they have the beautiful beach and the jungle setting is just so romantic.

Oh by the way, I'm using Cecilia Dumas as well and I am so excited she has such good reviews.  Did you decide on which photographer?  Anyway, I know your wedding is coming up soon too, so have a happy non-stressful planning!!

hey ladies,

I'm getting married at the CRT next june and I was wondering if you guys had pics of the set-up for the ceremony. I was also wondering where you had decided to have your dinner/reception ? I'm waiting on pics from the resort and some quotes on pricing but would appreciate it if you had some pics of your own. I'm in the beginning of the planning and since I've never been to that resort I'm feeling like I don't know what I want or what will be best for set up. I you have any other advise please send it my way

thanks in advance,

melanie

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
