Our cake came with our wedding package so we're doing both the dessert and the wedding cake since it's included.

Re; Gifts, we've already said no gifts in Mexico! However, we will except them at the AHR if they feel the need to get us something.

oh Danni good luck with the dress situation, how different are the shades of purple and if all the mothers have them then I think it may be nice normally different various shades of one color can look pretty good.

Our cake is also included in our package.  We only get to choose 1 app, 1 entree, & dessert...though I have considered trying to see if they will let me do soup, salad, entree, and no dessert since we are having cake.....  Do you girls think that would be better.  I reallly like the idea of a soup or appetizer plus a salad instead of 2 desserts.

I agree, soup or salad is better than dessert and cake!

I thought about that but decided to get little cake boxes and made stickers to put on top, people can take a piece of cake back to their room for a late night snack instead. I don't want the cake to go to waste and the deserts look good too!

Hi! I ordered the Jamaican Jerk seasoning from myspicesage.com I have been really happy with them and so glad i picked this instead of my original idea of blending my own spice mix. This way, i know for certain it tastes good! :)

Hi NurseM,

That is a great idea. Just wondering where did you get your cake boxes and stickers?

Thanks!

Cake boxes at micheals but i also have seen them on many different wedding supplier websites. And as for the stickers I designed one and then printed them on avery large mailing labels with our monogram, the boxes are flat and the WC at the resort will put them together for us

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
