Luggage tags turned out great!  I love your sand ceremony.  Too bad I already have something for mine...now I'm just trying to figure out how to seal the top of our vase and get it home.  confused.gif

I just finished my luggage tags!! IMG_0676.JPG

My sand ceremony set just arrived. http://www.amazon.com/Personalized-Unity-Ceremony-Contempo-Style/dp/B003EG3SOM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1298588704&sr=8-3 I highly recommend them! I got them personalized and they still shipped in less than 3 days from when I ordered! We still need to buy the sand though!

We finally picked FI's ring: http://www.titaniumkay.com/Tungsten-Carbide-8mm-Brushed-Dome-Wedding-Band-Ring-P104048.html

He loves it, I keep catching him trying it on and looking at himself in the mirror (he'd kill me if he ever read this)

FI's suit arrived from studiosuits. We ordered it in tropical beige and absolutely LOVE it!!! Now we just need to find him a shirt!

I have my first dress fitting tonight!!! My mom and best friend are coming with me! I still haven't picked my shoes yet... well I've actually bought 3 different pairs I just haven't decided which ones, if any of them I want to wear for my wedding day.

I have designed my ceremony programs and reception menus and mint matchbooks (thanks rosie) I'm just so sick of cutting stuff with my fiskar paper cutter that I've taken a break. I think I'll take the rest to my friends work (she's an elementary school teacher) and use their big slicer paper cutter to save time and sanity!!

And for the most exciting wedding planning news... We have booked our HONEYMOON!! After the wedding week, we're going to head to the island of Cozumel staying at a cute little oceanfront hotel for a week of scuba diving and relaxation!! We're both avid scuba divers and the proximity to the barrier reef is the main reason we chose the riviera maya for our wedding!! Yay!

Its been a productive wedding week!!

wow heather! you really did have a productive week! i used about a foot of ribbon per fan, give or take depending on how big the holes are and if you want to double back.

cute luggage tags & love your sand ceremony set!

thanks for reassurance on studiosuits - we're deciding on clothes this weekend for the guys and i feel as if we're running behind on that because Fi's thinking he'll look funny in linen so we've been thinking of alternatives..... i'm trying to convince him just to go try some on first......

where are you getting your dress altered? i'm looking to have mine done in the next couple of week but having a hard time deciding.

lol, i thnk you just gave me the nudge i needed to keep going~~~~~

Sooo obssessed with VistaPrint.  Everything for my first order turned out great.  I think I spent aroudn $36 and got freebies and free shipping.  They "said" 21 days but my order came in less than 2 weeks!  I LOVE it and can't wait to place another order!  I get free postcards next so suggestions on what to make with them since you get so many.

Used the rack cards to make my door hangers.  So happy with how they turned out!

Oversized postcards which I used as for the Welcome letters.  Turned out awesome, look professional, and I LOVE them!

I got "save the date" cards with envelopes for free so I made stationary with my new name on them for some little thank you notes I can write.  I got the pen for free and a steal of a deal on the business cards which I am come to use as thank you tags on OOT bags, luggage tags, key/tip holder cards, and maybe some other things!

FREE Car Magnet (P.S. My FI's name is Winston, but I call him Winnie so we are "Winnie & Tiffy")

Hey Veronica

I originally bought the self laminating luggage tags from amazon... but i wasn't happy with them A) i didnt have a laminator...and it would be a hassle finding one to use B) i would have to write everyones names, address etc before laminating them C) they were super flimsy. I ended up returning them.

I bought these...

I definitely would recommend studio suits! They have lots of different colors too...your FI should be able to find one he likes!

I bought my dress at Sposa Wedding World in Newwest and they have an in house seamstress that will do all my alterations. Alterations are expensive...I was shocked!! I'm going to wait another month to get it taken in though because I've been hitting the gym HARD! It was so good to see my dress though... I'm even more in love with it now than I was when I bought it last summer!!

Hey Ladies! awfully quiet here the last couple of days!! i don't have photos to show you yet but  attached my brochure....also thought I'd "break the silence"  embarrassed.gif

Got the nudge I needed to keep going with wedding planning from you gals here. Thought I'd share some more planning progress since last week. Guess snowy weather helps motivate wedding planning.

DIY

- stir sticks (well, the tops for them)

- photo share cards

- mini photobook of e-photos for parents

- pre-travel brochure

- luggage tags

also, ordered groomsmen shirts, FI suit and shirt from Studio Suits!

....hopefully i'll get through some more stuff this weekend....i think i've picked out some shoes too. i think (indecisive)....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
