HI, may i ask what resort you are getting married at?

We are at secrets maroma, riveria Maya Mexio...

Yup, i have been pretty laid back, but recently struggling with photographers...

they one i finally picked told me 100% down........does that sound right to anyone???

Nicyx, are you using an outside photographer off your resort??

BTW......great job on the weight loss, i have 15 pounds to go, but not till after xmas, but i am only 138 pounds so losing that is think is going to be difficult...

Sorry were getting married at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya :-)

We are using the onsite photog. Calypsofoto

Here are their website www.calypsofoto,com

The weight loss is at a stop at the mo... like you i will be back on it after xmas :-) but thanks for the well done!!! x

OH (sorry for those who have seen this on other threads)

Mine is on the left... Gold

Stephens is on the right .... White Gold

We were going to go for both gold.... but Stephen prefers White Gold & because my E ring and Eternity ring are both gold, the White Gold just wouldnt go....

They are very simple bands, Simple because i have diamonds in both my rings and i tried on a diamond wedding ring but it just looked awful (i know a girl can never have enough diamonds... but.... Haha) and they are perfect for us :-)

I dont know if its odd us getting different colours but hey its what we want so...... :-)

Im so happy!! Another thing ticked of the list!!!

xox

I had a little freak out moment last night.

When we decided to have a destination wedding I expanded our guest list slightly, thinking not many people show up. Guess what? People love to take a vacation in Mexico!!! Even my family from Germany has decided to come. 29 confirmed guests and counting .... Deep breath, deep breath ....

Ha that is what happened with us after we first sent out invites.  Several people who we thought would not be coming are now coming.  They thought what a great way to take a family trip so our guest list is doubled what we originally thought eek.gif but more the merrier!!

I agree Danni. I am humbled that so many of my friends and family are taking such a long trip to be there for my big day. I just hope that everyone has a great time :)

Nicola, I love your rings! That is what traditional wedding bands look like in Sweden. I didn't want diamonds at all but ended up changing my mind when I found a very pretty vintage-style ring. I don't think it is weird to have different colors, we will have totally different looking rings as my FI want a simple, "square" ring.

We have about 20 people who have RSVPd but none that have booked so far. We were going to skip invites and just do STDs and the website but now I am considering sending out invites after the holidays to remind people that we are actually getting married (I don't have the bride gene so I hardly talk about it).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
