This site is the best thing ever!!!!

I think its hard to not have questions about the dress at times just because of not being able to return it and it being such a big part of planning. Can you go back to the boutique and try it on again? I'm sure you will fall in love all over again!! (but if you're having second thoughts you could always sell the other one on here or at a consignment shop by where you live)

I am arriving @ IRHS on the 16th and my ceremony is on the 19th!

I feel you on the dress thing.  I picked & PURCHASED a simple gown b/c I wanted to get it over with and my mom loved it.  It doesnt help to be online everyday and seeing other dresses so I started 2nd guessing it and now have found another dress that I like.  I feel like I cant reall do much more planning for the wedding since I will not have any idea on the # of guests until Jan/Feb time frame so I just keep going in circles over the dress.  Ohwell....

Most of my guest already know because I created a website and sent them all the link.  Rebecca Allurements completed my Monogram (which I love!) and is now completing my BM cards.  New STD's will be next.

Okay ladies...

I have been on the site for awhile, but I just wasn't observant enough to find this thread!

We are getting married on May 7th, 2011 at the Gran Bahia Principe, Runaway Bay (I think that it is bizarre that all three of us getting married at that resort in May are within the first week! )

But I found my dress in January - it just arrived last month - love, love, love it!!

Our BM dresses:  (half the girls will have fuchsia with a tangerine ruffle and the other half will be the reverse)

I loved the fact that both my dress and the BM dresses have the corset back to compliment eachother!

I didnt do STD's for Jamaica but we did do them for our AHR on June 18th.  I have the Jamaica invites on their way too and i am going to send out the flyer from our TA with the Jamaica invites with the STD for the AHR too.  Tacky?  But we aren't inviting all of the people to Jamaica that we are inviting to the AHR.

I worked on writing our ceremony this week and compiling a song list for both the DW & AHR.  One question that I have yet to get an answer on is if you go by a shorter name than your birth name...how do you do that with the ceremony...it would be sooooo weird to have my FI call me Melissa!  blush2.gif

LOVE your dress and the BM dresses as well!! The dress looks amazing on you!! Of course I may be biased on the BM dresses since my colors are also fuchsia and orange as well, lol!! But I really think the ruffles and the corset backs do compliment each other.

So of course I went dress shopping today and totally feel out of love with the dress I've already purchased.  I guess I'm going to have to post it on EBay or something.  I knew I wasn't completely in love with it but my family was so I just bought it, ugh I'll never do that again.

Eholt I guess I'll see you there since I wed on the 16th ;)

I've always known I wanted a one shoulder dress with possible flowers so I found a gorgeous dress today that I totally totally fell in love with.  The only reason I didn't order it today was b/c the dress they had was not my size and so I want to be able to get the full look by trying on my actual size once I can do that I'm definitely going to order it.  it's silk and I'm totally in love!  It's really me.  I think I was just so anxious with the first one that I allowed my families excitement to influence my decision.

They love me so much I think if I put on a paper bag they'd tell me I look wonderful lol, they are all just really excited.

Tina - have you thought about posting it here in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum?  I bet a lot of brides would pay good money if the dress is right, btw what kind of dress is it?  I'm looking at similar one strap/flowery styles too!  What dress did you find today?  (I found the Pronovias Fauna to be very flattering!! but still haven't purchased)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
