November 2011 Brides (or Grooms)

Recommended Posts

I am getting a bit anxious.  I have so much done but I feel like there are so many things going on before we leave (moving, bridal shower, legal paperwork) that it's getting me worried that I'm gonna forget something or be running around the last few days.  Thankfully we leave very late on a Mon night so I have all weekend to pack and double check my lists.  Oct is almost here!!  It will feel so close next month.  woot2.gif

I am definitely getting nervous now... I leave for Mexico in 5 weeks from Sunday! I have a lot of stuff completed already but still feel anxious about what I have left to do. I need to get my dress altered still! Luckily it just needs a hem and a bustle. Also need to get legally married. I was running around for hours today trying to find Jewelry and a possible reception dress...failed at both. I also need to get gifts for our parents and my future husband.  Oh and figure out what i want to do for table numbers/ place cards and a guest book. What do you guys have left on your to do list at this point?

We have already told both sets of parents that when we get our professional pictures we will be making them photobooks as a keepsake.

We also plan on getting a picture of each family made into a canvas portrait.

For my parents I got them each a personalized wedding photo frame (for a pic after wedding).

Also got both mum's their wedding jewely.

Got the parents personalized OOT bags and added some extras other guests don't have (personalized t-shirts and such).

From this forum I got an idea from another bride for a personalized poem for MIL that I am having framed.

Oh and on the day itself we will pay for moms to have their hair and makeup done.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
