I am so happy for you!  More than anything I am happy you don't have an unfortunate event hanging over the rest of your wedding planning.

To me it makes perfect sense that you feel better after venting to us.  Who else could understand the stress you are under better than us?!

And no, it doesn't sound odd that you felt better after typing up the venting post. It helps to get it off your chest; whether or not it's posted somewhere or emailed to someone, I find it cathartic to write things down.

And yeah, the dedicated corner for wedding projects is overflowing. On top of it all, I picked my dress up today and that sucker is huge! I don't think it'll fit in my closet. Oi.

Larson is a lucky man indeed! LOL!!

Thanks. I thought my heart was going to pound out of my chest today as I left the salon with my dress. My dress actually came in several months ago. I went to preview it May 1st. And I was nervous, just like you are because I was afraid I wasn't going to like it. I had seen another dress I tried on (not a wedding dress but could have passed as one) and was afraid I'd like my wedding dress less after that. Anyway, I had one of my girlfriends with me and we both loved it! I walked out of the salon and my friend said I was absolutely glowing. I couldn't stop smiling. woot.gif I felt like dancing and jumping all at once. Ha ha ha. Much like today. Hee hee.

The salon said I could keep it there as originally I had intended to get my alterations done there. That was helpful for me because of storage issues and the temptation to pull it out all the time. Plus, my fiance wouldn't have to catch me trying it on since he's not supposed to see it until the big day. But then my mom, who has not seen the dress, wanted me to come visit and bring the dress with me so that she can also do the alterations (she's an alteration tailor so not a biggie for her to do it). So I agreed since we have a bunch of things to take care of including all the junk I've got stored back at home. I'm going next week and decided I'd pick up the dress today so that I could try it on before my fiance got home as he's working late today. Ha ha ha. I forgot that wedding dresses cannot be put on by oneself (how short my memory is because it took 3 girls to put on my friend's wedding dress just a couple of weekends ago); so alas I couldn't zip it up all the way. LOL! So I had to take it off, which I did very reluctantly. Otherwise I would be sitting here in my wedding dress typing up this response. LOL! But it's in the garment cover, hanging on the door where I can see it. I'll have to put it away before my fiance comes home, although I'm tempted to try it on again. Heh heh.

Pucca is one of my nicknames - my lovely friends and family have given me quite a few. My real name is Eun-sil. cheesy.gif

Hey Joanne,

I'm glad the Jetblue thing worked out for you. They also cancelled are direct flight for a monday! We didn't book jetblue for the way home so I won't be able to luck out with a direct flight home. I'm thinking we may just bite the bullet and go down and extra day early to avoid and connections and loosing wedding related bags haha. The worst part about our canceled flight is that I found out from my bridesmaid who is on the same flight. They didn't even email us! I'm pretty sure we are going to just have to pay to stay an extra day but we are def. gunna see if they are willing to do something for us. We are also going down for 13 days is we stay the extra night. What day are you traveling from boston?, That where we are from too, maybe ill see you at Logan!

Eun-sil, so happy for you and your dress!! Can't wait to see pictures!!

Alysam4785 .... yyyaaaayyyyy another bride in Boston!!
I think it sucks that JetBlue didn't contact people!! We found out when future sis in law was trying to book the Monday direct flight and was told there was none!! I see your wedding date is the 5th, so you will be gone before me, but would have been funny if we were on the same flight! We went to mexico last year and there were a few girls on the flight carrying big white garment bags so I'm not expecting to be the only bride.

So glad things worked out with Jetblue.  Gosh what a headache.  I love Jetblue and I wish I could fly them everywhere.  They were quite a bit more expensive flying from LAX to CUN so we had to go with AA for the flights down there so some of our guests could be on that flight with us.  We get to fly Jetblue home for FREE thanks to all my Trublue points. (that's if the flight still exists haha)

My real name is Taryn!!

So I got the personalized bags for the BMs, moms and sister-in-law in the mail yesterday.  They look great and would be perfect for carry-on purses so I am thinking of handing those out early to them.  I also ordered the ties for the guys, the OOT bags from OTC and some items for the OOT bags including the first aid kits.  Things are being checked off slowly but surely.  Feels so good!! woot2.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
