The night before.....???

Recommended Posts

Just curious, with the wedding in the morning, will your reception immediately follow your ceremony or will your day be divided and the reception held at night? That would leave tons of time for photos!

We haven't decided 100% yet - one on hand we aren't very traditional (thus DW was a perfect fit!) but his parents are traditional and also all about proper ettiquette.  If we decide to go with tradition he will probably stay in his brother's room the night before - that way I'll have our room for getting ready.

We're going to be spending the night before together. I'm so used to sleeping with him that I think sleeping with anyone else will just make me nervous. Our ceremony isn't until 5 pm, so we'll probably spend the morning together with the group as well. We were actually just discussing this last night, and he said he was good either way. He just made me promise not to want to go celibate for three months prior to the wedding like his best friend's wife did, lol.

This is exactly what we are doing! I don't want to see him until I'm walking down the aisle!

+1.  We've been living together for 2 years and we own a home together, so what's the point of spending the night before apart?  We're also doing our photographs before the ceremony.  I don't get the whole "no seeing each other before the ceremony" thing, especially if you already live together!

It's just something I've always wanted to do! We also live together but I just would rather not see him on the day of the wedding until I walk down the aisle. I guess I just like the anticipation! I can't wait to see the look on his face when he sees me. To each their own! There's no right or wrong way to plan your special day! :))

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
