The night before.....???

Recommended Posts

I will probably spend the night with out him just because the hotel offers a room for him, and it might be more exciting the day of the wedding. however I really don't care either way. I certainly am not doing it out of tradition.

By the time we get married we will have owned our house for a year already and spent every night together anyways. Anyone who knows us and thinks we havn't had "us" time before the wedding is loopy!

I will probably spend most of the day in the SPA at our hotel, getting a massage, doing hair / makeup ect.

am very confident that I will not run into him their =)

My mom and sister suggested we not see each other the day of the wedding and spend the night seperatly. I probably will stay with my sister which is also the MOH and we will get ready in her room. Our wedding is at 4pm but their are all kinds of things going on that us women need to do so i'm sure we will be busy and he can just spend the time with his friend and also with the kids we have a son together and he has a daughter so this can be bonding time for them while i'm doing girl things. haha

FI insists that we don't see each other the night before the wedding so he is going to crash with a friend the night before our wedding and get ready in another room. I tried to show him my dress and he won't even look at it! Pictures before the ceremony to save time? Nope, he's adamant so oh well! :)

Aw! Y'all are so cute! Reading your posts has me rethinking...it could be cute... and fun! All depends on how our accomodations work out - don't think it's worth spending more $ on a room or my FI crashing on someone's couch and not being well rested. He's no help with the decision making at this point. I think I've tortured him with wedding plans (still have a year to go)...poor baby is at the "whatever you want dear" phase already LOL!

Thanks everybody!

My FI is staying with his brother the night before. The day of the wedding, we are having a bridesmaid brunch by the pool at my villa and FI and all his groomsmen are going to the sports bar at the sister resort to smoke cigars, practice putting on the putting green, and watch Sports Center. The first time he sees me will be walking down the aisle. I figure that we'll be together in Jamaica for 7 days and then we will have another 7 days on our honeymoon, so one night without him will be ok. So much of what we are doing is non-traditional, that I think throwing this in there will be good for building up the excitement of the day.

our resort gives the groom a room for the night before the wedding so he'll be staying there. that morning im having breakfast with my mom and then meeting the girls at the salon. FI and I won't see each other until i'm walking down the aisle, but that's how i've always wanted it...so in conclusion....do what makes you comfortable, not what people think you should be doing!!

I was thinking about this too...I think I would be more stressed if we don't spend the night together the night before the wedding - like others have said, it's all about what the 2 of you want. My would probably rather not be forced out of our room, and I can kick him out in the morning and have my girls/mom come over, go to breakie with them then start getting ready :). Yay - I'm getting excited thinking about it cheesy.gif

I was thinking about this myself. I think it will be nice for me to spend the evening with the girls and let him hang out with his guys. But we are taking pictures prior to the ceremony so when I walk down the aisle, it won't be much of a surprise. It's not a huge deal to me though.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
