You know what I'm having trouble with - just the estimation of how many bags to make. I'll be doing one per couple and one per single as well. But we haven't booked anything yet, if we go on the dates we want to, then we're only 10 months away and I've wanted to start collecting stuff for the OOT Bags to kind of spread out the costs a bit.

But who knows for sure how many are coming. Could be as few as 10-15 or as many as 40 if everyone who was interested actually comes. But I guess it'd be best to aim higher and have extra stuff than not enough...

That makes me nervous. I will try to check into this more and see what I can find out about this.

Sure, no problem! I also found a whole first aid kit at the $1 store, so that's something to consider too. :)

is anyone planning on getting some of the stuff for their OOT bags once they get down there? e.g., snacks -- it seems like it might be cute to get local snacks? i think that might ease some of the packing issues? but at the same time i have no idea what's really available near the resort

I'll have 56 bags.  I sewed them myself (with the help of an incredibly good friend).  I'm splitting up the bags and contents between me, my FI, my parents, and my sister's family.  Shouldn't be too bad split up that way.  Just checking the bags.  Just make sure you weigh them and don't go over the weight limit - gets expensive fast!  I just had to let my dream of some of the larger/heavier items go (like mugs - FI was NOT having it).  I'll be buying water and snacks once we get there.  Rum cakes too.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
