Listen to your H2B! You have already shelled out money time and effort to invite people to share your big day- all they have to do is return the favour. I bet those who did not reply would have been the first to complain if they had not been invited!
I had the same issue- even one of my bridemaids yes bridesmaid! did not RSVP (but fully expects her dress to be payed for by me!). Weddings bring out the best and worst behaviours.
The site will be offline Saturday evening (4/28/18) for a software update. Thank you in advance for your patience while upgrade to a new-improved version of BDW.

RSVP's .... non-responders

I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one dealing with this. Thanks ladies, I don't feel like I'm alone in looking at things in this way. I wonder if this happens with regular weddings or just DW's? It's so strange because some of the guests have already booked (according to them) but they haven't returned their response. It doesn"t make it easy that I'm very anal and lose sleep over trivial things related to this wedding planning.
I have some time so I'm just going to wait and see. Once the deadline passes, I think I will speak to my mother and moh and have them reach out to their family members/friends( the ones who have said they may come). I won;t stress it too much but it does make it harder to move the plans along. I actually have a May 1 deadline because I knew this would happen. Planning a wedding has made me see so many things differently.
Great discussion... thanks ladies!

It also happens with regular weddings. My friend just went through the same thing. We're doing a cruise wedding, so anyone who doesn't RSVP won't be on the non-sailing guest list and won't be allowed on the ship....I told my FI I'm not calling or chasing down anybody who doesn't care enough about us to mail back an already stamped envelope. They'll just have to deal with security if they try to show up.

Luckily for me, all of my guests have to book their stay through our wedding coordinator. We have booked villas and there is no other way to stay at the resort since we have the whole thing reserved. All of the villas are full now, so no one else can RSVP anymore. I figure if it was important to them, they would have booked already. I only sent response cards with our invitations because it's the traditional thing to do, and a bunch of my mom's friends who won't be coming will want to write nice notes on the back with their regrets. :-)

We also only got about 50% back at the deadline, but we tracked people down to find out. Good thing we did because we had about 7 people who didn't RSVP wind up booking. I wouldn't want to have been surprised by them showing up. I gave everyone one week after the deadline and then had family members ask each other, and called a few people. I couldn't handle not knowing. Also I am a chronic late RSVPer so I gave people the benefit of the doubt (I sent the invites out pretty early so some people lost them).

My deadline is also May 1st and I sent them out in March and I've gotten about 30 RSVP's out of about 150 back!!! But some people have already booked rooms at my resort so I obviously know there coming and I havent gotten RSVP's back from them. I cant complain too much.. they still have 2 weeks to respond. But I agree.. its very frustrating!

Sheree are you in constant contact with the WC at your resort? Ask her to send you an update. Every so often mine send me an update of anyone that has booked at the hotel. Which is how I was able to find about that 8 people who actually told me no initially went ahead and booked. We made it clear on our wedding website guests had to mention they are going for our wedding to receive the special room rate. As a result they are also coded differently in the resorts system and it is easy for my WC to send me a list. There is always a chance people may stay elsewhere but try to control what is in your grasp. As you said you have enough on your plate and it is also their responsibility to respond in a timely fashion. Try not to let this part frustrate you and good luck!

I've gotten a few more rsvp's but I highly doubt I will get a full response by the deadline. As of now the main people are accounted for.
